Contraband and The Shard

Hello,

When I use Contraband to equip with AK-47 (5 pool cost equipment), are both of these scenarios correct?

• A: I first reduce the cost (using The Shard) of the AK-47 by 2 pool, then I choose to pay the remaining 3 pool cost by using 1 blood and 2 pool (by Contraband text)
  
• B: I choose to pay AK-47 by using 2 blood and 3 pool (Contraband text), then I reduce the 3 pool cost by 2 pool (using Shard), resulting in payment of 1 pool and 2 blood.

Card texts:

Contraband
Only usable before range is determined. A vampire can play only one Contraband each combat.
[obf]: Equip this vampire with a non-unique equipment from your hand (requirements and cost apply as normal).
[OBF]: As above, and this vampire can pay up to half the cost rounded down of that equipment with their blood.

The Shard
Unique location.
If you have the Edge, you can lock this card to reduce the cost of a card you play by 2 pool or blood. Vampires can steal this location as a Ⓓ action; Ventrue get +1 stealth during that action.

As I am aware, A and B are valid.
