Not really at all, no.

Today, there is no way to contact a player via the player registry.

Also, there are hundreds if not thousands of lapsed players in that database, many of which only had their registering volunteers email address to begin with.

A playgroup registry or dedicated forum would work much better, at least until a local volunteer contact list becomes available.
