Unable to put an event on the calendar

I've tried several times to put a couple of August events on the calendar, but here's what happens :

* I enter all the invo
* I hit the validate button, and it doesn't complain about anything
* I hit the save button, and am immediately bounced onto the home page. Meanwhile my event is nowhere to be seen.

Thanks for your help with this, and apologies if it turns out to be a user error.

I just tried again with a different browser (IE instead of Firefox) and got the same behavior as I described above.

I have the same issue.
After validating the form, I get this message in red on the main page when I click on Save.
