VTES.DE is closing on May 31st, 2011

I received this email from vekn.de today:

Dear customers of vtes.de,

following a series of serious discussions, we have decided to close our online shop on May, 31st 2011.

Why?

We didn’t take this decision lightly. It was based mainly on two major reasons:
1. Wizards of the Coast has been shutting down nearly all big game lines recently.
2. The permanent delays when it came to ordering restock or new products from several game companies were slowly but surely making our work less and less fun.

So what now?
===
Now we are cleaning out our warehouses.
Starting as of now, we are offering the following discounts on all merchandise except for VTES products and Swan Panasia card sleeves:
for any orders over 250 EUR 10%
for any orders over 500 EUR 20%
for any orders over 1000 EUR 30%

PLEASE NOTE:
===
1. This offer is only valid for private customers paying via wire transfer.
2. In return, we will pay all costs for shipping and handling.
3. We won’t be doing any restocks anymore. What’s gone is gone.

What happens to merchandise still left in our warehouse come the end of May?
===
All remaining merchandise will be sold on ebay.

Does this mean that we as rabid VTES supporters will leave all the other VTES fans high and dry?

No, it certainly doesn’t.
Our online shop was born from our love for VTES, and we still love this game even though we are closing down the shop.
We will be continuing our support for VTES and its many fans, albeit on a much smaller scale.

We hope that you show some understanding for our decision.
