FELDB

Hi,

I hope (some of) you guys missed FELDB as much as I did. I promised to work on it more than three years ago, after we lost one of the greatest contributors to the VtES scene - dearly missed Fernando "Sydnelson" Cesar, for whom I dedicate my work on FELDB. I started working on restoring it some time ago and today I have the first test version - 3.0.0 Alpha 1. The purpose of this release is to test the script that automatically creates the cards database (for now it's 95% done, I only plan to add card rulings to the DB) and pictures loading / cards browsing. Inventory and deck building doesn't work yet. Filtering is also partially broken. I will be monitoring this thread frequently, so feel free to share your thoughts and ideas.

What to report if you decide to play with it: pictures not loading, wrong / missing card data (except card rarity, I will have to rethink if and how to implement this). I enlarged the card pictures, but their size on disk is also bigger now (about twice as much) - not sure if this is a good idea, but I think that the card pictures were just too small for contemporary screens.

Hotfix 2 Sounds so pro-programming-ish, i had to write that
Moved the DB to Sydnelson's as I found it to have most (all?) of the typos fixed. Fixed pictures pack to reflect those changes, but I might have omitted some things, please report in such case.
Changed Hell Hound to Hellhound, fixed Guide and Mentor not showing up in Inventory.

what is your preferred method to get bug reports?

I cannot even properly start FELDB on my system (SQL error, access violations, no database in the application, access violation error when trying to close application), so would have to submit something... B-)

i copied the pics in from previous one, but other than missing the new cards pics, functions perfectly.

Wow, that's messy. Try downloading FELDB and unpack it to a new folder, see how it goes - maybe your cards or inventory DB got damaged.
You can also leave a message on Assembla if you want (there's an option to attach screenshot, for example, if the problem persists).
What's your operating system?

As for new bugs / features things, I will always keep my eye on this topic and the Assembla site - use whichever you prefer.

Can you tell what's exactly missing in the new pics pack? Will try to fix it ASAP.
