i like this card and it is my third most numerous :THA: card.

it seems as though many people have a low opinion of this card due to the second round limitation.

why is this?

its all ive got.

Quite simple - in order for this card even to be played you have to

a) be in combat (with someone you want to hurt)
b) survive first round
c) get to second round
and d-ish) it can be prevented

Most times, you're better off having good old Theft in hand (which you can at least cycle against S:CEs or dodges in first round of combat and it cannot be prevented) than you are hawing Walk. For what its worth, I usually have two copies in any THA combat-oriented deck, but I think i prefer Flames of the Netherworld, purely because of a lack of 'second turn' clause.

Not a bad card by any stretch, but far from auto-include.

because, as you said, it requirs a second round. meaning that, unless you HAVE a way to get to second round already, it is dead weight. So you need a card or a permanent that gives a press in order to make it work...

Not to mention opposing vampire can try to press out of combat, so you need even more resources to get to second round.

And it in no way can circumvent strike : Combat ends.

if you really want aggro damage on THA, i suggest you take a look at Flames of the netherworld

Walk is a good card to include as a 1-of or 2-of in "standard" tha/x decks. Provided you're also running Apportations and a bunch of thefts (like you should) it's a nice surprise to have. If the table is heavily into S:CE or presses of their own, they're easy to discard.

Including too many will usually result dead cards too often.

I've a tremere deck that works fairly well wiith only the following combat cards

Thoughts betrayed
Apportation
Theft of vitae
Blood to water
Walk of flame
[Boom!]

Mostly its just apportations and thefts, but once you've got thoughts betrayed out to get round pesky S:CE and enough blood, its a lot of fun. Aura Reading helps as well.

Good old 'mob connections' is a must have as well
