Recently, I put in an order for a few starter deck displays. And I want to try something somewhat similar to the Atom Weaver Deck Bashing challenge, but with a twist. Instead of merely taking two starters and mashing them together, the idea is this:
From an *entire display* of V:TES starters, build 4 decks, sticking with the themes of the decks in each box. So if the deck is single clan to begin with, it stays single clan, etc. If it's themed like the KMW ones, say it's based around something like Alastors or whatever, you try to stick with that theme, and so on.
But you're allowed to move cards around between decks however you want. So for example, if you get the Legacies of Blood starter display, and you want to move that second copy of Giant's Blood from the Guruhi over to the Akunanse, you can. If you decide that the Guruhi shouldn't have it at all, but that it's better suited to the Osebo and Ishtarri, fine. That's allowed too! Cards can move freely around, you just have to arrive at the end of 4 different decks that stick with the theme.
Or say, if you decide that the Toreador need to borrow some Auspex cards from the Malkavians, fine, no problem. etc etc.
I think some of the sets will be more interesting than others. Black Hand in particular I can see being very, very interesting for some reason! KMW will be weird. 3rd and KOT seem extremely straightforward, and LotN seems like it'll be the hardest to do this with, but I don't know until I actually start, and I'm sure the deckbuilding process will be fun for each and every one of them, especially if I can recruit people to help me!
When my decks arrive in the mail, I would love some help with this project, if anyone's interested! I really want the decks to both be strong enough on their own to hang in the hands of a beginner and ideally I want the 4 decks in each box to be reasonably balanced with each other as well, that way this provides people with a really cost effective way to build enough decks to satisfy an entire new playgroup.
So, anyone want to help?

I like it.
Here's what I did for Black Hand, in August 2010:

Awesome
My starters came in today
I'm gonna get working on this, and I imagine I'll take the format from your Black Hand deckbuilding posts.
