AIDS from bats!

The aim was to construct a deck that utilised Vampiric Disease (& other blood depletion tech) to force attrition on the table and then, obviously, sweep FTW!
The 2 main options seemed to be w ANI & Taunt the Caged Beast, and VAL & Blissful Agony.
Both present advantages & disadvatages, but i went w ANI as the basic Bats&Birds deck is pretty strong and could potentially win by itself (unlike many !salubri decks, sadly).

So the idea is to drop down VD (a few times). Use TtCB to force Pre/Pred combats to spread the disease.
Restricted Vitae & Hunger Moon restrict the hunting actions & generally keeps blood on minions to a minimum. Strained VS also hinders the hunting. Carvers keeps weenies down, and supplie me w blood. ANI combat keeps me at long range & does respectable damage, plus fuels Tastes of Vitae to resupply me w blood.
Some bleed tech is there - Deep song & retainers & Tier (plus the Mouse Army) w stealth - to actually get around to obtaining a VP or 2...
Crypt focuses on ANI + obf, so is a bit older than standard ANI decks.

How do you intend to oust?
Attrition to weaken the table, then bleed towards later stages of game

How do you intend to keep from being ousted?
Weaken pred, and rush w Taunt/Deep if necessary & use ANI combat. Some light intercept (more for hunting) may help slightly


What do you want your ready region to look like (ie, how many guys are you planning on getting out)?
4-5 minions by mid-game; maybe more by later stages


What do you want your average turn to look like?
VD someone, Taunt a VD'd minion into other non-pox-ridden minions, maybe rush crippled minions, maybe bleed for 1-2 once or twice.

What's your metagame like? How do your opponents play?
Melbourne metagame is v diverse - both in deck build & speed. Generally pretty strong. Allies appear regularly, also.

What problems have you observed with the deck in play?
Not played as yet
ANI combat is fairly strong, so i'm hoping that will work at least.
Bleed & Vote defence is light, aside from the overall effect of the attrition. Guns & POT w maneuvers could smash me

Overall i think the deck should function sort of OK, i'm more concerned about some inclusions (eg: Strained BS, Carvers, Tier, Zip gun, Allies [& whether to include Carlton]) and the numbers/proportion of many other cards - eg: number/ratio of Aids&Carrion, Taunt&Deep, etc
The Zip guns are included to stay as a permanent maneuver - could be a bad idea, but i was worried abt running out of Aids...

Also, has anyone tried the VAL version of a VD deck - does/would it work?

Yeah, the ANI was to maximise Carrion Crows, as it seems to be the greater of the Animalism combat cards for basic damage. The press from Bats is handy too. I'm not convinced i need everyone w ANI, but the crypt is not much older for it, so i thought i'd give it a try. I'll review the crypt to see if it would make a big difference. Maybe 1-2 weenies would be handy, esp if i keep the Carvers in.

Any suggestions in dropping adding library cards?

You need more bats and fewer actions.
