Dunno if this was already mentioned (and am too lazy to look it up): Why G2+3 over G1+2?
G1 gives you Rake as additional Prince cap 6 and all the small G3s can easily be replaced from G1s. Getting 2 or 3 Volkers in your first 5 crypt cards slows your swarm a lot.
G12 looks something like this:
