That is just wrong. The Coven spreads free resources all over the table. Unless you csn put out a lot of damage don't play it. Nearly every deck can pull back blood to pool. So you should care.

this is a valid point. though in practice, most decks have already been tuned to balance the blood gain to their blood costs/pulls, and it usually just ends up being redundant for them. they suddenly receive more resources than they were designed to take advantage of.

I always say, if you're going to use the Coven, make sure you get more benefit out of it than anyone else at the table. Milk it for all it's worth!

that said, I agree that this deck is not designed for Coven. Perfectionist or Lillith's Blessing is better, even Hunting Grounds can go a long way. if you can reliably get the extra-untap cards early on, a few Coolers can make a big difference (a very underrated bloodgain card)
