file Brutal Influence Obfuscate

What about Aren (7cap, obf,POT), Bupe Kuila (7cap, OBF, POT), Tatu Sawosa (8cap, POT, cel), Massassi and Nangila Were (9cap, POT, obf)? Then you have obf at least. As you plan to play with disciplinecards anyway you could add two Obfuscatemasters. Alas no Exile then (save Aren with pre).

Bupe and Nangila have :pre:.

My thoughts on this.

Kamiri is indeed, epic fail. Good vampire....but in another deck.

I have played against the Lucian version of this deck a couple of times, constructed by a brilliant, innovative player named Kelly Schultz.

The deck does bleed like a mofo. Lucian does have that nice "burn blood/life to strike" text before the glaring +3 bleed print, which minions like Carton simply hate.

Here's what I saw from playing against it a couple of times.

Problem: Untap.
You are probably stacking Orun on Lucian only. So he Exiles, but then can't easily untap to bleed. In other words, he isn't really Perfect, cause he doesn't have Fortitude.

Your four viable options for that are Mylan, a Magaji playing Belonging Grants Protection and using a few Aye for Dusk Work and grafting on [for]

The player in my group used Static Virtue to preload Aye, then played Dusk Work for the untaps with Mylan for backup. It worked. I don't remember if he played High Aye for stealth + hand cycling.

Problem: Tapped Orun.
With the untap problem solved, several Orun are tapped from the Exile and it limits Brutal output. You'll still burn an Orun every bleed cause he is "Lucian, Master of the Tactless Bleed".

Oops, the deck just worked against itself two ways by not maximizing bleed, but burning resources anyway.

This kinda hampers the Enkil Cog tech too. You really only want to bleed when all the Orun are available.

All this means you probably don't want to Exile too much in turns you might want to bleed. Better to Brutal down for a smaller amount.

Problem: Bounce
Without the ability to readily remove downstream bouncers and with all your real bleed concentrated on Lucian, you can guess what happens. About half of Lucian's bleeds strike the target, the rest are accumulating VP for your prey.

Thankfully, Lucian has [AUS] and can Revelations at inferior before the bleeds. This is where the untap really pays off, way more than trying to Exile anything.

Problem: HUGE target.
Lucian just Revelationed, untapped and bled for 12. Nice turn dude! Guess who just became the table threat?

You can't Secure Haven him, the added pool cost for Orun will kill you.

So he will be hanging out here with a sign on his back saying "I bleed for retarded amounts, please rush the crap out of me, RIGHT NOW!"

Even the crosstable rushers are thinking "I don't want that idiot bounced over here if he misses a Revelations draw. Even if he does play Reverations before every bleed, I can't have him one-shotting people's pool. Time to waddle over there for a quick visit while I have this Grapple in my hand."

That's what happened in both games I saw....he got jacked up pretty quickly, before Kelly could really set up many sacrificial blockers. Then everyone not blood cursed or named Enkido stood in line to diablerize Lucian, knowing it was worth burning in the bloodhunt if needed.

As far as I know, those few games pretty much ended the Lucian Bazooka Experiment.

You could run a Soul Gem module in your design (works will with Villein and Lilith's, instant capacity increase). You will frequently lose the Orun setup, but you have a chance of getting a new Lucian.

SUMMARY: All in all, its pretty fragile for all the overhead invested.

Cavalier works great with Revelations too, but maybe that's too many masters.

Sleep Unseen?

I choose Obedience. Potentially Transcendent Laibon can help. And Giants Blood as ussual.
Maybe some Supernatural Resistance will help, depends on metagame.

Nice little trick with any non-titled orun machine, is going anarch.
Orun's only burn when this Laibon does bad things .

But then you cannot play any more Orun on him either. Not sure it's worth it in this deck, maybe in another one where you spread the Orun around.
