Lots of defensive untap and rush actions when necessary.

What do you want your ready region to look like (ie, how many guys are you planning on getting out)?

The game goes a lot better when Anton is in play. Played the deck twice on Saturday, won with 3 VPs when Anton was in play, lost when Anton was missing (and the master cards were hiding too).

What do you want your average turn to look like?

Grooming to re-arrange blood into pool/transfers and avoid the effects of The Rising. Rush or bleed. Defend aggressively.

What's your metagame like? How do your opponents play?

Wildly varied. Anything from Horde Scobax to Anson/Anneke/Alexandra.

What problems have you observed with the deck in play?

Nahir has the skills, but Anton's maneuver turns out to be critical.

Darkness Within and Aid from Bats might make a better combat package, allows you to drop the taste and you could still run the Carrion Crows and some Canine Horde. Just an idea, neat deck.

In the last game before I built/played this deck, the Heart of Nizchetus + 7 guns were in play. Guns are ubiquitous and need to be removed after the pool has been paid for them.

If you see that many guns I'd replace 1x Animalism with 1x Centralized Background Check. I am skeptical that that many Grooming can be more than a hand jam waiting to happen. Dreams could help get the cards you need and/or influence your guys out. Maybe 2x Dreams and 1x Barrens for 3x Grooming?

Unlike Villein, you can cycle a Grooming for 0 blood moved.

I haven't found it to be a problem leading to hand jam.

Dreams would be a good alternate.

Centralized Background Check prevents people from playing their guns. I want them to spend the pool and to lose the strike. CBC was purposefully excluded.
