Of course, but a such a rush deck can't survive hitback of 4-6 when it can't taste, and having to endure it four times is too much.

EDIT : cursed summer... Fell asleep for maybe 3 hours, now I'm awake because it's so hot and I'm trying to get sleepy with vodka. It doesn't work. There goes my shot at the tournament, and this has happened before, let's say you get lucky and get to finals - then you botch it because your'e half asleep.

Replace some of the deflections with redirections. Add at least one DI (or DI2) to nerf your prey's bounces.

Yeah, maybe 2 Redirections would be good. I'm sure you mean DI my predator's bounces, well I thought of that too but I couldn't figure out how to fit them in after I had all I need. I tried to make a pretty trimmed deck.

I mean your prey, after you have deflected a bleed of 10 to him...
But yeah, you can DI your predator's bounces if you are currently the end of the chain (and you want to leave some deflections to your hand)...

@Jussi : yeah, that looks like an effective deck and pretty similar to the TG Lasombra deck (Shadow Step/Darkness Within awesomeness) I played, but I had terrible experience with it (Stop blocking me! Earth Meld #Q¤!#¤!"¤!Q"#¤). Nowdays I try to make decks 80 cards, I'm not sure about the math behind it but it feels somehow good in play.

Well, good luck folks, may the most vicious bastard win :POT:

I don't think, that you need to worry about S:CEs. Rather, TG+TV is a grinder type of a deck, where you'll have really strong options for forward momentum. You'll be winning with GtU's and Conditionings/Foreshadowings rather than rushing (and, you have option to rush in Gustaphe anyway).

80 cards is fine, I've made (combat) decks that are around 80 cards for a while now and they seem to perform better. I believe, that they don't include that much crap.

Assuming that he gets in combats with 3-caps.

No need to assume that at all, since it's not how Carver's works. Weenies need to be going to torpor; doesn't matter if it's Gustaphe putting them there, some other vampire that Gustaphe is buddies with, or those combat allies across the table.

Well, that went about as badly as it can go.

1st game : Dementation bleed deck bleeds me, I don't draw any deflections, then the dem bleed gets ousted and the Tremere (who got in to finals, swept this table I think) next to her has 4 dominate guys up and ousts me.

2nd game : Pentex on Gustaphe from my prey the instant he's out, then Tye Cooper and Unmasking, couldn't even kill Carlton in three combats since you can't play another grapple after DI. Could have as well scooped and FU to the rest. My grand predator, an AUS weenie swept and got to the finals.

3rd game : Didn't care, no shot at the finals anymore, so I just bled my prey who got backwards-ousted with sudden on villein. My predator had CEL POT combat which torpored most of my minions, then I think I had some trouble with Muddled Vampire hunter.

1VP from entire tournament. I wanted the ANI POT deck to win the finals (he had got 3GW:s before that I think) but Muddled Vampire Hunter from AUS weenies torpored three of the ANI POT guys when they were mano-a-mano and that was it.
