To warm up for the Belgian Nationals taking place the following day and make it into a full festive V:TES weekend, I am pleased to officially announce the

*** Belgian Limited National Championship 2024 ***

Date: Saturday, July 20, 2024
Registration: pre-registration mandatory before the day of the event
Booster draft starting time: 11:00
Expected first round starting time: 13:30
Expected finishing time: 22:30

Type of Event: Limited National Championship (booster draft) (see the limited tournament rules ). See the post below for information on draft material.

Number of rounds: 3 + final
Time limit per round: 2 hours

Pre-registration is mandatory to make sure that sufficient cards are available for drafting and to allow for a timely start of the tournament as soon as the shop opens. If you intend to participate, please sign up as soon as possible by replying to this thread..

*** How to reach ***

By public transport: Spelfanaat is situated at 20 minutes walking from train station "Mechelen Nekkerspoel"
If you arrive from Paris/London/Berlin... you will end up at Brussels South Station (Gare du Midi), where most trains going towards Antwerp will stop at Nekkerspoel. Coming from the Netherlands, most trains from Antwerp to Brussels will stop at Nekkerspoel.

By car: there is free parking in the area.

THE DETAILS OF THE DRAFT (UPDATED 14 JULY 2024)

Overview

In the context of the celebrations for the 30th anniversary of V:TES, the theme of this year's draft championship will be the dilemma of ancient vampiric clans whether to join the Camarilla Elders in the Masquerade or embrace the sirens of Anarchy. In the chaos, one clan of art lovers emerges as a possible guiding light...

Join us in Mechelen and be among the first players in the world to play an official sanctioned event with the cards of the new 30th anniversary deck!


Product

Each player will receive an assortment of 5 packs to be drafted:

• 2x Jyhad booster packs (19 cards each)
• 1x Lords of the Night booster pack (11 cards each)
• 2x "Camarilla Conclave" home-made draft packs (11 cards each) - see below

Minimum crypt/library

Minimum crypt 6, minimum library 30, one recursion*.

* Recursion: a player can use a discard phase action to shuffle all the library cards in his or her ash heap back into his or her library. This can be done whether or not there are any cards left in the player's library or hand.


"Camarilla Conclave" draft packs explained

"Camarilla Conclave" draft packs are random booster packs built from the following product:

• 1x 30th anniversary deck (with the card "Lasombra Justicar" removed)
• Four New Blood decks: 1x Banu Haqim , 1x Brujah , 1x Gangrel , 1x Ministry
• Two First Blood decks (French version): 1x Malkavian (with the card "The Barrens" removed), 1x Tremere
• One Keepers of Tradition reprint bundle 1
• Eight promo crypt cards

Each of the 52 resulting draft packs contains 3 crypt cards and 8 library cards. The content of each draft pack is fully randomized (except that no booster can contain more than one copy of the same card).
