PARIS : LIMITED TOURNAMENT "Let's Draft Again", saturday 9th November 2024

You dreamed about drafting again in VTES with an up-to-date V5 content?
Do you remember the pleasure of opening booster packs?
Perhaps getting some old cards not printed for many years?
Having difficult choices to make?
Hard thinking on draft effects?

BCP, VEKN FRANCE and VEKN PARIS are offering you the opportunity to be among the first players to discover the new "draft box" Ben, Ginés, Hugh, Vincent and I have designed!
Welcome to the "VTES -- Let's draft again!" 3R+F event, an 8-boosters limited tournament including draft time.
This event will be limited to the first 40 players registered.

This event will take place at EPITA, an engineer school in south of Paris (same place as the 2024 French GP on April the 20th)

08h30 > 09h00 : Registration
! PLEASE, BE ON TIME !
09h05 > 11h05: Table announcement, draft and deckbuilding
11h10 > 13h10: ROUND 1 (same tables than DRAFT TABLES)
13h10 > 14h10: LUNCH TIME
14h15 > 16h15: ROUND 2
16h25 > 18h25: ROUND 3
18h40 > 20h40: FINAL

The entry fee for this special event would be 30€.
You can pay:
- by sending 30€ to my personal Paypal ().
Please, use "friend and family transfer" (otherwise I will ask you to pay the cost of Paypal insurance)
- by cash only the day of the draft. Please bring the exact change (no credit card)

The day of the draft, you will then receive 8 ziplocs of 11 cards containing:
- 3 vampires
- 1 rare card
- 2 uncommon cards
- 5 common cards
Of course, do not open those ziplocs until the draft starts!

Surprise, you will find many draft effects on your cards.
Reminder : It's an alternate card text playable ONLY during draft event like this one !

All the cards are tournament legal!
All the cards you draft are yours to keep!

The rules of deckbuilding are the following (based on the official limited tournament rules):
- 8 vampires at minimum
- 40 library cards minimum
- no recursion (no possibility to shuffle your discard pile with your library to get a new library)

# DRINK AND FOOD :
- In the school, you can eat and drink what you bring or buy from outside (no alcohol allowed, please).
- Outside, there are many choices for restaurant (Pizza, Corean, Turkish, etc), one grocery, ...
- We'll see if we can prepare some sandwiches.
- I think we will able to sell you some drinks, and sweets.

# HOTEL :
There are several hotels next to EPITA :

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to offer any discount in nearby hotels.

# ADDRESS & TRANSPORT :
EPITA
14-16 rue Voltaire
94270 Le Kremlin-Bicêtre
(close to "Boulevard Périphérique", the highway that goes around Paris")
- Metro Line 7
"Porte d’Italie" (650m by walk) or "le Kremlin Bicètre" (750m by walk)
- From Gare de Lyon : (35-40 mins) Use Metro Line 1 or 14 to "Chatelet-Les-Halles", and Metro Line 7 as described above
- From Gare du Nord : (30-35 mins) Use RER Line B to "Cité Universitaire", then, Tram "T3A" to "Porte d'Italie" (then 650m by walk)
- By Car : Boulevard Péripique and exit "Porte d'Italie"
But it will be expensive to park your car.
Another option is to park your car at "TORCY RER STATION" for exemple.
It's 30km away from Paris, 1 hour away from EPITA by transport (RER "A" > Change at Chatelet-Les-Halles > Metro Line 7 [See above] ), but park at "TORCY RER STATION" is free (a good point when you live in the suburbs !)

MAKE DRAFT GREAT AGAIN!

If this "new draft box" means that such product is coming to be available either through print or PoD it is indeed very good news!

This is probably a question for BCP but yes, if the feedback of this playtest (inreal conditions) would be positive, then i think BCP will try to "Make Draft Great Again"
