I have only used lackey a few times and have never used discord. I'm signed up, but don't know how the process works or how to use discord.
Can anyone post any info that might be helpful to someone who is new to this format and software?

in order to use discord, you need to have something to communicate with - say a microphone, and you need to have something to listen with: a speaker or headphones. also to play the online event you need to be a member of the server: discord.gg/QRBKNH9A
I don't know what else I would advise you. maybe you should try a tutorial on youtube?

Finals: 04. november, Monday, 9 PM CET

twitch.tv/wodnews (german Jennifer Fuss)
Finalists:
Martin Weinmayer: Topseed 2GW 8,5VP (Lackeyname "angrynewb")
Representing Austria. Martin is an ambitious traveler from Austria, and you never know when he'll show up at your Vtes table. His current plans call for him to attend the South American Championship in 2025. Despite his love of traveling to play VTES, he is eager to support online play alongside Igor Beslin and Lionel Panhaleux.
Bram van Stappen: 2nd Seed 2GW 8VP (Lackeyname "gotcha")
Representing Belgium. Many players have shaken their heads in disbelieve at Bram's ability to win so many competitions. He won 12 of the 24 finals played between 2020 and 2024. To say the least, winning 50% in a game when your average win rate is meant to be 20% is an amazing accomplishment. Bram is also a notoriously good combat deck player, which is a testament to his exceptionally high skill on the VTES table. He has 22 TWDA entries and is the only player to have 7 National Titles under his belt.
Antti Penttilä: 3rd Seed 2GW 6VP (Lackeyname "Dada")
Representing Finland. The Crown Prince of the Finnish VTES Community. Antti grew up in the highly competitive Finnish meta, with Otso Saariluoma reigning supreme in the north. Antti achieved World Rank 1 in 2022 after countless hours of training. With a strong Magic the Gathering background, Antti is known for putting a lot of effort into his deckbuilding to surprise and defeat his opponents
Peitsa Suominen: 4th Seed 1GW 6VP (Lackeyname "GothicOnion")
Representing Finland. Peitsa is a rising star in competitive VTES. To say the least, his ambition and unwavering dedication to improving his skills are impressive. Unfortunately, his student life prevents him from traveling much, so you'll mostly find him in his home country. Since joining Lackey, Peitsa has become increasingly competitive, winning three online tournaments. Keep an eye out for this young lad's crazy deck ideas.
Marcin Korąbka: 5th Seed 1GW 5,5VP (Lackeyname "Majin")
Representing Poland. Marcin has been competing in tournaments for over 12 years, reaching several finals and winning his first tournament in 2022. He is a talented player, but due to his origins in southern Poland, he is unable to compete as frequently as he would like. Fortunately, Marcin began playing online and is demonstrating his skills on the lackey table. Marcin advanced to the finals with a clean 5vp sweep
