Why is he playing an event that he can't play without help from the rest of the table???

Why do you ever play deflections that you cannot play without the help of your predator?

The Fourth Cycle is the most effective way to destroy a Gehenna deck if that's what you want to prepare against.

It does not even take a Gehenna deck: any two of Anthelios, Unmasking, Dragonbound on the whole table will do, and they are definitely worth getting rid of.
