Deck Name : US Nats. 2012 Dragon Con

Description : My Brujah politics/sb deck that I have been working on since KoT came out. The deck gets a lot from its multi function cards. Flurry of action, Iron Glare,
perfect paragon, resists earth's grasp all have different modes, and many other cards can generate different effect than their primary function.

Short Tourney report:

Rnd 1: 0 VPs- I was late and missed this round.

Rnd 2: 2 VPs, GW- Tough game, ousted by Nos royalty in the waning moments, lucky for the game to time out. I started preying(Jeff) on a Tzimisce s/b deck with very little intercept.

I started with a Zillah's and was able to bleed for 6 with Dimitra (Public Trust, Iron Glare, New Carthage) prior to his first minion. At one point my grand prey(Jerry), seeing the
future, rushes and torpor's Dimitra. My predator(Robyn) then fires a fresh Joseph in for the dirty deed. I then talk my prey into burning her giving him the best cushion he
could hope for. I get him and the Osebo, but can't get David Tatu playing Obf big titles due to his strage line of play early(he had some influencing mis-steps) and Robyn
kills most of my team. See gets me with a deflection (6 pool bleed) and neither can finish before time.

Rnd 3: 5 VPs- GW- I prey upon Hugh's Ventrue anti deck piloted by Mike, preying on Mark playing Kindred spirits, preying on Brad Grp 1 Tori block, preying on Mike Tremere block soft combat.

My first action is a parity shift at 3 stealth with Tara(Zillah's), avoiding my Tremere predator by promising 3 pool. Everything is humming along, I have
Mike low and he deflects to Mark. I am jammed on Iron glare(4) so I boost it anyway since I'll be there in a minute. He is not too pleased, so I eat 6-8 to the face from my left, which is ok since my predator is a bit jammed cause no one will block him. My pred does get the heart and so I need to get on my horse. I make a weird deal with the Tori to give him a 3 turns off in exchange for something I needed to finish Mark. It also lets him start in on the Tremere which he had done nothing to.
I amend the deal for 1 extra turn off in exchange for me KRCing both Brad(tori) for 1 and Mike(Tremere) for 3 to move a bunch of vote stuff, including a voter cap. I could oust Brad and break the deal but there didn't seem to be too much risk in waiting till the deal expired, and I wanted him to draw all of the good combat from the Tremere's hand. I rescue my pred's Ardan Lane
to ensure his survival, I get Brad and then Mike.

Final: Really hard to pick a seat, especially since we needed a do-over for a bit of a misunderstanding. I see Girls(David) preying on Nos Royalty 4/5(robyn) preying on Lasombra s/b(Lasombra) preying on Tzimisce (s/b). Lasombra was probably the only one with a lot of deflections(exception girls) but Robyn doesn't bleed much, so that should have been slowed down a bit. Jeff(Tzi) plays fairly conservatively and wouldn't over influence to make Lasombra's job too easy. So I sat downstream of the Tzimisce and upsteam of Girls.

Girls starts slow and I was pretty sure no one at the table would get too mad at me pounding the crap out of him(I was right). Game starts and my predator
is worried about Lasombra so I can expect 2-3 pool damage on average, but it's really hard for him to lunge over that since his is telepathic counter instead of telepathic misdirection. David brings up the deflection chic right after I bleed him for 6 with Tara. I then switch to politics since his second vamp is Cybele. He occilates between 6 and 16 pool for a few turns. Meanwhile Lasombra is whitling away at Jeff and Robyn is build resources for later, occassionally blocking David. I get David after he Golcondas the Brujah IC the turn before. Lasobra gets Jeff pretty soon after that. Robyn had 3 vamps(IC, Justicar, 1 other) and Lasombra had 5 nasty bleeders including Gratiano.

Lasombra got me for 15-18 over two turns and I had a decision, Robyn was not putting any pressure on Lasombra, and I couldn't bleed through 15-17 pool that Robyn had. There was not a ton of time left and I couldn't survive Lasombra for more than one more turn. So I back ousted Lasombra and to my chances with Robyn. I sent 4 via a deflection and 6 via KRC into Lasombra, which was enough to get him. Robyn and I slug it out for 3-4 turns when time is called. There is some chance she would have gotten me the last turn, and certainly
the following. So 1.5 VP and a GW.

Good stuff -just recently been pondering about making a pot/pre deck together and this deck seems to have plenty fo the stuff I was going to include.

Although violence will be needed to be added to my version...

Can anyone tell more details on the finalists of the US Nationals 2012 (for my blog)? Currently I got from the report something like this:
