Although I would vey much like to go, I will pass.
I have at least two nights this week where I'm home after 11, and the wake-up call is still at 6 in the morning

Great tournament yesterday !

Thanks to Emiliano and Bram for pushing me to go with them. It was a great day !

For the small report, I played three different decks :
- Giovanni Fortitude : lost
- Nocturns : lost
- Lasombra Presence : 1GW 3VP
- in Final : Giovanni Fortitude : lost

I'll make an more complete report later

PS : damn I need new decks ! lol

i played twice midcap/weenie prescence and decided to play Elimelech in 23rd round (because i had only 1 vp)
good choice: 1,5 vp, enough for finals, 0,5 vp in finals with same deck

A very nice day for me with the Belgian delegation (thanks!), but one of my crappiest tournament performances in recent history.

Game 1: Malkavian Madness Network First Tradition: 1,5 VP, ousting eventual winner Jeroen 31 seconds before the time limit
Game 2: Assamite bleed/vote: ousted in turn 5 (?) by Stanislava bleedzooka + Reins of Power
Game 3: Weenie presence Undue Influence: ousted very soon by Luc's Lasombra the turn before ousting my prey

My full report

Dutch ECQ 15/09/2012 Report

First, let's explain how I attended this tournament. I had time on Friday night, just on the eve of the tournament. So, I went to our usual Friday

Vampire Night, which took place in Brussels that week. I had no deck, and borrowed my friends' decks just "for the fun". Then, Emiliano asked me, not

without insisting : "come tomorrow plzzzzzz". So I canceled an appointed and came to Utrecht with Bram and Emiliano. Just for the annecdote, I had to go

back to Nivelles to take my decks and went to sleep at 3am. lol

So we arrive in Utrecht, and I learn this is a multi-deck event. Only two tables of players, so it is allowed. It's good I took all my decks then !

First round : I play my Giovanni Fortitude Bruise and Bleed (Ignazio-Lorrie)
Martin (Tremere Cryptic Mission) -> Me -> Weenie 2-cap Bleed -> Bram (Presence-Sup Powerbeel) - Ralf (Tsunda The Eldest Are Kholo)

I have a good start with a good crypt (although no Lorrie). Martin is like never using his crypting missions on me, so I choose not to rush him too

much, one or two warning rushes but that's it. I feel more concerned about my prey having like 10 minions on the table and bleeding Bram (my grand

prey), like madness. I don't want him to oust Bram and gain 6 pools, so I attempt a frontal assault. I rely on my top decking skills to draw a freak

drive, but don't. The Frontal Assault kinda fails ("only" 3 minions in torpor out of 9), and I loose 3 pool in total, which kinda leads me in ousting

range.
Martin, who blocked several more rushes with Ponticulus, understands it fast and I'm out.

Results : Martin 4VP - Weenie 2-cap Bleed (sorry for your name I'll edit it later) 1VP.


Second round : I play my Lasombra Nocturn
Martin (Stanislava) -> Emiliano (Assamite Bleed) -> ? -> Bleed for 1 -> Me
The game goes fast for me. I have some low cap Lasombra out. My prey is still influencing Stanislava. Then I choose to bleed hard : Govern-Conditionning

+ influencing two more vampires. Martin has no choice but getting his VP fast or being ousted fast. He bleeds Emiliano for 5 + untap and Reins of Power,

which is enough of Emiliano. On my side, I realize that my deck has no wakes inside, and die horribly out of massive bleeds for 1.
I don't remember the rest of the game. Sorry

Third round : I choose my Lasombra Presence
Me -> Emiliano (Anarch Indue Influence) -> Malkav Old School -> Martin (Tremere Bruise & Bleed) -> Bram (Elimelech)
This game, I made a very good choice of deck. Thanks Laurent for beeing at the origin of the creation of that deck.
I start influencing Marcus Vitel, then later Gratiano and Franscico Domingo de Polonia (I think), which means with Enkil Cog on Marcus Vitel : a damn

lot of base bleeding (2 - 3 - 2 + potantially 1).
Emiliano seeing me getting in place, and being the point of his deck, bleeds hard his prey. My grand prey then decides to Kine back Emiliano with 3 pool

loss. That allows me, on the next turn, to call an anarchist uprising and make Emiliano loose 5 more pool. One bleed away from the oust, which I did. My

next prey is only on two-three pool, I manage to oust him too. Martin being in trouble too, is ousted not that long after.
Duel Bram vs Me, Elimelech wins.
Results : Me 1GW 3VP - Bram 2 VP

Yay ! I get to go to the final !
I'm 3rd seed.
Hard choice for the deck. Emiliano and Bram advice me both to take the Lasombra Presence. But I choose the Giovanni Fortitude. I chose it because I just

wanted my deck to be published ... LOL ... but it did not.
Jeroen (Gangrel feat. Torvus) - > Me -> Bram (Elimelech) -> Martin (Tremere Bruise and Bleed) - > Didi (Assamites Bleed & Vote)
Wow ! It looks like we will have a lot of fight in that final. I think I have my chance, having Lorrie the MONSTER and Ignazio together. I know my

predator (first seed) is a very good player, so I decide not to die and to backrush. At most, I can hope to crush all my predators and win in duel the

final. I'm kinda influenced to go and bleed, which I did once as I had a window, but this wasn't my master plan. ^^
So : BACKRUSH !! Lorrie goes for some low-cap gangrel : heavy fight with Carrion Crows, prevention, Torn Signposts, Grapples and more ... resulting in

Jeroen's vampires to survive and mines getting less blood. I try like two or three fights, but no result, it seems I'm either unlucky of lacking of

fight power in that deck. ^^
Having my vamps nearly out of blood, I have to vessel on and lower my pool. The Powerbase Montreal only helped me once, not enough. I'm ousted by

Jeroen.
For the rest of the game, I know Bram resisted good against Jeroen, Didi was ousted by Martin ... and eventually, Jeroen won the game.

Good play ! It was great to be back on a tournament, espacially in Utrecht which is a nice city. It was nice playing along the canals and have good

nostalgic food ^^
