Well, that was my thought too, but the Archon says that only 10 players are qualified... I thought it was rounded down and not up. Anyway, in case an 11th player should be eligible for qualifying it is:

Concerning the number of players, it is not bad considering present times. Italy have not a huge community compared to France, Spain or Finland, but most of our players play tournaments. So in the past years we had events with 50 and even 60+ players.

We had 54 players last year for the French Championship, and around 40 in 2009.
