Justicar Retribution XIX: Swinging in Pain
Standard constructed tournament
Sun 22.09.2013 11.00-
3 rounds + finals
12 players
Winner: Janne Lönnqvist
Shamefully, out of the 10 games 5 ended in a timeout. Thus, for example, Jarkko got to the finals with mere 0GW, 3VP
1 1 7 Janne Lönnqvist 1 7 3 162
2 2 1 Matti Palomäki 1 5,5 1 148
2 3 5 Timo Rekola 1 3,5 114
2 4 10 Jarkko Suvela 0 3 1 126
2 5 12 Hannu Kokkonen 1 5 156
6 6 2 Teemu Pulkkinen 0 1,5 100
7 7 11 Anssi Rekola 0 1 100
8 8 6 Mikko Moisander 0 1 94
9 9 3 Marko Saari 0 1 90
10 10 4 Jyri Puhakka 0 0,5 82
10 11 8 Akseli Jalava 0 0,5 82
12 12 9 Minna Oikola 0 0 42
The winning deck
I saw a lean looking Lasombra deck in this week's reports so I decided to give it a try just for the laughs. Modified it with just two Washes -call it adapting it to local meta if you will.
Here is the TWD entry for the said deck:
vekn.net/forum/9-event-reports-and-twd/54123-twd-qcf-rennes-01092013
In finals all the other players had rather combat heavy decks so I thought I would be toast or get 1 VP tops.
Jarkko: Laidon Harbinger Shamblers
Matti: Lily White Assault Rifle (multi)rush
Hannu: Lasombra bruise bleed
Janne: Lasombra stealth bleed (luckily didn't contest any with Hannu)
Timo: Guillaume Giovanni Shamblers
In the endgame I had a handjam for ages, first with Deflections and them with Governs and I needed stealth to get over Jarkko's Unmasked Shamblers. In the final turn managed to bleed 12 with 2 minions, then sacrifice fourth minion to fish cards (Govern + inferior Bonding) and indeed managed to cycle a Shroud of Absence with those so bled another six with the last minion in Elysian Fields. If I hadn't received the Shroud I would've been ousted the next turn.
Deck Name : Lassombra S&B

Archon uploaded and approved.
EDIT: Ha ha, just noticed that in my sleep deprived state I hadn't I hadn't approved the Archon. Which actually turned out to be a good thing since an error had crept in and now I can correct it.
Silly me.
EDIT 2: Updated correct info now finally uploaded and approved.

Congrats to Lönkka for winning the tournament!
It was a very bold move to add stealth when you were bleeding your grandprey (me) at round 3.
If I had had short of bounce cards, you could have ended up losing your GW.

It was a three player situation and I did ask you whether you had a bounce and I just basically wanted to force you to bounce the bleed (of 6, or was it just 3?) back to Matti since I was counting that he most likely couldn't bounce it back with White Lily.
I estimated that even if it HAD landed on you it might've profited me later in t the game as you would've been a softer target already. Besides I didn't want you to beat up my minion with your superior combat (sticks and prevent vs my non ecistent combat) which would've been in your interests since I was your prey.

Blind bird & worm is what I say...Congrats to Lönkka for winning the tournament!

Bold or reckelss. Or even downright stupid, but hey, that's me...It was a very bold move to add stealth when you were bleeding your grandprey (me) at round 3.
