V:TES Online World Championship 2019 - Finals Report

Every player was running bounce.

MM11 opens with Anarch Revolt, taking a lot of counters off the table.

Ke has 2 early Zillahs, bringing out 2nd turn Unmada and Thucimia soon after. Ke bleeds Killiam at stealth and gets Enkil Cog pretty early on.

The first big hit of the game is a lunge from Karl: he plays Pentex on a tapped Ira (who then can't 2nd trad) and bleeds Horus down to 4 pool remaining.

Horus Villeins and brings out Francois Villon. He remains on the ropes for the balance of the game.

Killiam suffers from bad crypt draw, missing both his star vampire and his lead wingman for the entire game, and cannot utilize most of his bleed defense. Ke keeps steady bleed pressure, along with multiple Pentexes played on Mordechai over a few turns.

Killiam is first to be ousted, and Horus falls very soon after that. Down to MM11->Ke->Karl. Karl had brought himself quite low with transfers (to 4) and then spent half his pool on a Pentex, so even after his VP, he was still in bad shape defending himself against Ke.

Ke looks to be in a very commanding position with a big pool advantage, but MM11 is sitting on bounces at the same time that Karl is holding big stealth bleed. Ke takes a hit of 10 pool loss from Karl's bounced bleeds in a single turn.

Now things are tense. MM11 has 10 pool, Ke is down to 4, and Karl is at 3. Karl still has Banjoko untapped, but decides to pass the Cog impulse to Ke. Ke bleeds at Karl with K.S+Cog for 3, Karl wakes Dame with OtQV and tries to block (or rather, tries to top-deck more bounce.) Ke plays Faceless. Karl is ousted.

Heads up now. MM11 has 0 VP and Ke has 2, but MM11 is higher seed, so he can still win the tournament with a 2-2 split. Ke has 11 pool, MM11 has 10.

MM11 taps out all 3 vamps to bleed and gets Ke down to 7.

Ke's turn to bleed. Thucimia slips by a 2nd trad with 3 bleed at 3 stealth. Unmada comes through, also at stealth, hits for 2. MM11 is at 5 pool, Ke pops a Wider View and then spends 1 to untap Unmada with Metro Underground, leaving him at 8.

MM11 uses Troublemaker to re-tap Unmada plays Anarch Revolt and then recruits Carlton Van Wyk, down to 3 pool. Bleeds for 1 to snatch edge.

Ke's turn -- down to 6 now from Revolt. Sends Troublemaker back to tap Lodin. Plays Monastery of Shadows (bringing him to 3 pool) and now has hand size of 10, but only 6 cards left in library. Thucimia bleeds for 3, but gets blocked with a 2nd trad from Lodin. Lodin torporizes Thucimia. Ke only has Unmada left. Unmada KS bleeds for 3, is blocked by Carlton. Carlton shoots Unmada for 1. Unmada is left with 1 blood. Ke is at 3, MM11 is at 3.

MM11 Govern bleeds with Graham. Unmada wakes with Eyes of Argus. Graham plays Daring the Dawn for the win! Congrats to MM11!
