Unusual design for the competitive environment, but it has been unexpectedly reliable. My playgroup will be supremely happy to see it semi-retired.

6x Serpent's Numbing Kiss *// the extent to which this thing slows other players down is absurd. An underrated card, IMO.

2x Mokole Blood *// because recursion is a broken mechanic, in every form. An early draw is a search function for a Form of Corruption and 2-3 Temptations and 0-1 Ophidian Gaze/Serpent's Numbing Kiss. Mid and late game, the targeted cards vary based on the the shape of the table and what's actually found its way into my ash heap.

3x On the Qui Vive
4x Ophidian Gaze *// cancels the biggest repeatable blood-gain tool in the game and offers bleed defense when that isn't needed - it cycles SO easily when you're not forced to hold it.
