10 VTES veterans and 3 new players arrived, with some small delays, to the Saturday morning tournament. In the air beforehand was that this tournament would have a strong anarch meta - mostly due to the recent content releases, of course.
Alongside 11 local players, 2 arrived from Belgrade (Serbia), heroically saving the event from the dreaded player number.

*R1*
The first round was filled with hope and optimism on most sides, which lasted shorter for some than others.

First table:
Fiendish Tongue Tzi G2-3 > Ministry 5th-based SB > !Salubri combat G5-6 > Lodin Lawfirm > Brujah 5th precon
The Tzimisce and ministry managed to get one VP each, with the Ventrue grabbing the rest. Two combat options were left empty-handed.

Second table:
Anarch Unnamed > Toreador 5th precon > Gangrel 5th precon > Banu Haqim 5th-based Anathema
The Unnamed deck didn't run through the table right away mostly due to table cooperation, but still managed to get all 4 VPs in about an hour.

Third table:
Nadima anarch Viper wall > Ventrue princes bloat/bleed G4-5 > Ministry anarchs G2 > !Ventrue grinder
The !Ventrue started the round strong with an early Pentex Subversion on Nadima, eventually finishing the job with a Daring the Dawn bleed. The Camarilla Ventrue on the other side of the table had serious issues with the luck of the draw, helping the Ministry clean up the rest of the table for 3 points.

*R2*
The second round came with the realization that stealth bleed has little proper counters in this specific event, accompanied with some luck in the seating orders.

First table:
Ministry anarchs G2 > Nadima anarch Viper wall > Fiendish Tongue Tzi G2-3 > Anarch Unnamed > Gangrel 5th precon
While the fiendish tongues seemed to only increase Unnamed's pool, Nadima managed to send all of the Ministry to torpor with the help of Dog Pack and two Hatch the Viper. Sadly, the Unnamed caught Nadima low on reactions and untaps and managed to clean house once again for 5 points.

Second table:
Ventrue princes bloat/bleed G4-5 > Lodin Lawfirm > Ministry 5th-based SB > Toreador 5th precon
With no other SB at this table, the Ministry take the whole 4 points.

Third table:
!Ventrue grinder > Brujah 5th precon > Banu Haqim 5th-based Anathema > !Salubri combat G5-6
The Brujah beat down the Banu Haqim, while the !Salubri do the similar to the !Ventrue, leaving them alone in the duel. In the end, the !Salubri prevail, taking 3 points to their Methuselah.

*R3*
First table:
Banu Haqim 5th-based Anathema > !Ventrue grinder > Toreador 5th precon > Fiendish Tongue Tzi G2-3 > Ventrue princes bloat/bleed G4-5
The !Ventrue manage to grab a point by ousting the Toreador and the Ventrue continue with the considerable bad luck streak; the Tzimisce overwhelm the rest of the table for 4 VPs.

Second table:
Brujah 5th precon > Anarch Unnamed > Nadima anarch Viper wall > Ministry 5th-based SB
At the beginning, Nadima managed to slow the Unnamed down a bit, while the Ministry ousts the Brujah. After some tense cardplay, the Unnamed passes through the wall with a lucky Form of Mist. After that it seemed as if the Ministry could win with four minions on sheer bleed amount, but the Unnamed continues bloating with Enkil Cog and Ashur Tablets enough to turn the tide and take another 3 points.

Third table:
!Salubri combat G5-6 > Gangrel 5th precon > Lodin Lawfirm > Ministry anarchs G2
The Ministry ousts the !Salubri, and after some table deals the Ventrue eliminate the Ministry, leaving the gangrel to deal with the Ventrue successfully for 2 VPs total.

*FINALS*
Fiendish Tongue Tzi G2-3 > Lodin Lawfirm > Anarch Unnamed > Ministry 5th-based SB > Ministry anarchs G2
With three stealth bleed decks in the final, the game was slower and more even than expected. The Tzimisce successfully derailed Ventrue politics either via blocking or Delaying Tactics, preventing them from possibly reducing the Unnamed's momentum. In the end, the Unnamed takes home 5 VPs.

Overall, the tournament was a success; there were extremes in both good luck and bad luck, but in the end the day was an enjoyable experience, especially since the last local tournament was quite some time ago.

Thanks to all participants for making the day possible, see you next time!
