Finals report:
Finals seating:
Teemu Sainomaa (3rd Seed) Anarch Baron Vote 0VP ->
Bram van Stappen (4th Seed) Mambo Jeanne Combat 1VP ->
Dawn Moore (2nd Seed) Adana de Sforza Vote/Bleed 0VP ->
Marcin Zakrzewski (Topseed) Thucimia Bleed 4VP ->
Rodinei Camargo (5th Seed) Ghede Combat 0VP ->
Marcin Zakrzewski completely dominated this league tournament, destroying every table.
This is what the winner has to say:
I've been playing Thucimia in many variations for about 8 months. Took the deck 3 times to tournament finals, but never got the final win. This time I hoped to succeed, but after I saw that I'm facing two combat decks I wasn't sure I can make it. I've decided to sit behind Ghede and hoped to find one of four Secure Havens as fast as possible and stop the first hit with Midget. Not surprisingly the strongest blows came from cross table Samedi run by Bram, who knows my deck and how lethal it can be if it gets a chance to act. After the Secure was placed, the only thing I had to be worried about was Archon Investigation as none of the players showed much intercept. I was happy to see Dawn's minions in torpor with no blood as it gave me time to go for the first VP without a pressure after devastating 7 pool damage I took from bleed and CIF before my first minion was out. Nei's Ghede wanted to run away from getting ousted by ousting Teemu's barons breed deck but in reality it gave an easy second VP. I was thinking should I oust Teemu in his turn or in Bram's turn so I can get The Coven, which would make my game against Bram much easier. I didn't want to be too greedy, and ousted in Teemu's turn after all. After that we were 1 on 1 vs Bram. We both started the bleeding contest with 20+ pool, and I was lucky to get just enough power to oust Bram 1 turn short of most likely being ousted myself. I think it was an interesting game to watch, as it was fast paced with some dramatic changes in the game state.
