Round 1

As soon as the first vampires are revealed I know what's my gameplan. I can't go forwards hard or I'll risk depleting myself early while also playing into the Imbued game by keeping his predator busy. I make a deal with Ilya that he throws pool damage whenever he can on the Imbued and I'll make sure he gets an easy VP from the Malkavians by backrushing. The game plan is to get to a state where it's just me, Pedro and Ilya, and that while Pedro would be busy torporing Ilya's vampires I would try to find an opportunity to deal with Pedro's vampires hoping for a clogged hand on his side since he has Crossbreaker out.

The first part of the plan goes well and I let the Malkavians only keep token resistance up until the Imbued are off the table, while also getting a few small bleeds in on Pedro. Pedro starts working on Ilya's vampires and I see him play plenty of red cards so I hope his hand jams, but it doesn't. I start to go forwards but Crossbreaker landing 5 agg damage with Immortal Grapple is impossible for me to deal with and I stall. Pedro cleans up and gets 4VP, Ilya 1VP.

Ricardo plays Dragonbound before he knows what's around him and regrets it. I deal with an initial Aggressive Corpse rush by blocking with Saku and tossing a sewer lid, hoping to dissuade piecemeal rushes by Ricardo until he is properly set up so I have time to go forward, and use my resources to work on the Toreador and conserve combat for the Banu Haqim.

I go forward slowly with blood conservation in mind because of Zombie + Trap in case I have a clogged hand, hoping to further dissuade Ricardo from tossing zombies my way. This also lets the Toreador oust Tito, which I have no problem with as getting a backwards inside dirt or two would put my vampires in zombie trap range. Ricardo doesn't draw into British Museum and Unmasking most of the game, letting the Banu Haqim make good use of Ricardo's own Dragonbound to oust him while I oust the Toreador as I set up to fight the Banu Haqim for the GW.

My deck is built to be able to handle most local Banu Haqim decks in combat and at this stage I already have 4 vampires out, one of which is Saku with a Heroic Might. We go back and forth for a few turns but between me getting maneuvers into grapple, stealing a magnum with fast hands, and getting a second magnum by diablerizing Oluwafunmilayo the Banu Haqim concedes. I get 3VP, Eduardo C 1VP, Eduardo M 1VP


Round 3

Imbued again and I'm in the unfortunate position of being their predator. I get Theo Bell out and I already know this is going to be a rough game because my deck is easy to block and my pool damage output is not amazing when I do get an opening. Thankfully Marisa realises this and drops an Anarch Revolt to help trim the Nuno's pool. My plan was to keep Theo Bell bothering them so they would be unable to set up shop, reducing the stack of convictions, while I got more vampires out. Due to overconfidence on my part Nuno gets Theo Bell down to 1 blood and my hand jams, I get a Society of Leopold on him so he's a deader vampire walking (he burns eventually). Marisa and Tiago play Fame on each other, a short lived contest which leaves Marisa's Fame on one of Tiago's Qawiyya Cheerleaders.

Tiago starts pushing forwards more aggressively since he and Nuno are on an Anarch Revolt timer after Marisa plays a second one. Recalled to the founder is played and I get to burn a vampire (Elen, leaving me Valeriya and Atiena). Marisa and Tiago rush each other with Marisa coming out on top, and Nuno sees a window to oust Tiago next turn as Tiago clearly doesn't have wakes, is tapped out and at 7 pool which is doable for the 3 Imbued Nuno has up + 2 Anarch Revolt. Nuno is at 5 pool on my turn and I spot a play I hope Nuno isn't aware of. I have Atiena Line Brawl bleed for 2 hoping he doesn't bounce it and takes it to conserve his bleed potential to oust Tiago, he takes it likely expecting a second bleed. Instead I rush Tiago's Famous cheerleader hoping I can torpor her, I manage to do so and pass the turn taking Nuno out with Fame and 2x Anarch Revolt. Tiago is out of blood and options and goes the same way on my next turn. I manage to push through some bleeds on Marisa to get the 4th VP.


Final

Seating: I'm second seed and having seen the Toreador in action I do not want to be in front of it, being adjacent to the !Brujah would be mutually assured destruction so I sit in front of the Juliet deck.

I get Theo Bell out first, hoping to dissuade João from bringing out Juliet early and alone so she doesn't start Governing superior, he waits to bring out both Arishat and Juliet. Theo Bell rushes Arishat to end the possibility of an Unleash Hell's Fury early and I hope there is no Obedience for Juliet, there isn't but João blocks with Juliet and hopes there is no maneuver from me, however there is no shortage of those in my hand. Juliet goes to torpor empty and I spend the next few turns getting vampires and building up my game. Arishat goes down to the !Brujah who then starts rushing backwards to try not to die to heavy bleeds.

I keep sending a few celerity Line Brawls Marisa's way to pay for my extra vampires and to make sure I don't get bounced to the now struggling Eduardo. I interpret Marisa's gameplan to be letting Eduardo oust Jose so she doesn't waste resources fighting the !Brujah and can then swing for 2VPs (Eduardo and João). As Marisa is whittled down to 6 pool I draw a Fame, play it on her unlocked Angel Guerrero and rush with Theo Bell. She blocks with Whisper, starts dropping Crows and Terror Frenzy, I end combat with Garibaldi to avoid it. I throw in a bleed 2 with Saku which she blocks, there is no Terror Frenzy but a Drawing out the Beast puts Angel in torpor range from additional strikes so I go for it and torpor Angel and oust Marisa with a follow up bleed. João is ousted next by Jose.

At this point I'm adjacent to the !Brujah and I have 4 vampires out (2 Barons, one of which is Saku with Heroic Might). I keep chipping away at Eduardo until he is out but my main focus is cycling hand to make sure I have the tools to torpor the !Brujah and keep them there. I realize Jose's combat package only has Slam for maneuvers so I start getting an Org Resistance with Garibaldi every turn to ensure Saku always up to block, and is going to long and torporing someone while avoiding any fight that seems dangerous as I push bleeds through, eventually ousting Jose. I get 4VPs, Jose gets 1VP
