Replied by Pirk on topic TWD - Garou Rim: New Bloods
We had a nice quick little tournament in the last breaths of winter. Our new recurring out-of-town Methusaleh was the Prince of Kuopio.

This time victory went to our own veteran Methusaleh, Simo Tiippana!

The finals reveals:

File Attachment:

Tournament most dominating player (2GW 7VP!) was unable to participate in the finals, so next in line was Simo with 1GW and 4VP. Seating was as follows:
Markus Määttänen - Dark Selina voter
Timo Tahvanainen - Saulot IC
Toni Karjalainen - Euro Brujah
Mari Tiippana - Malkavian bleeder
Simo Tiippana - Flamethrower auspex wall

The game started and everyone started building their ways to win this fight. My Saulot was brought in with rapid haste in order to capitalize my strenghts, but I was hesitant against Toni's Euro Brujahs as my deck just folds against combat. I didn't manage to bring my full arsenal of Inner Circles to the table, as my minion taps and renewed vigors didn't materialize as I had planned and had to scrape by with what I got. In the end I managed to bring only one Inner Circle to help Saulot and by then Markus had his vampires at the ready.

But it wasn't easy for Markus either. He didn't had dominant votelock and he had to always ask Simo if he could make a political action against me. Those flamethrowers were really intimidating! Markus was allowed to make several minor damaging votes against my Inner Circle and I couldn't make any offensive votes either.

In the meanwhile, Toni's Euro Brujahs were suspiciously quiet and didn't rush much. Poor draws and his pool was eventually withered to scraps by my stealth bleeds, but I was always wary of retaliation. In the same time Mari just did what her deck does, bleeds with kindred spirits against Simo who bounced most of them to pressure Markus, since Simo had to stay on the defence.

It was long walk on a tightrope, but eventually I was ousted when there was 30 minutes left. Soon after Toni was ousted too, since I was in the verge of oustin Toni on my own but alas was ousted first. On the hindsight playing Monastery of Shadows was a mistake on my part, as my pool dipped dangerously low.

Markus was now holding the keys to victory and Mari doubled her efforts to oust Simo in order to get back to the race! Clock was running out fast and Markus was ousted by Simo. It was now race against the clock and Simo and Mari fought with fury to oust each other! Both ran out of cards and it was now who had the best table setup. In the end, Mari had to bent a knee against Simo's flamethrower wielding vampires and Simo ousted Mari when there was 6 minutes left.

And thus Simo won the tournament!
