I like the burn option ally, just hope that discarding it was never used for Khazar's Diary counters, only new Khazar's Diary minions!

Nah he used it just for the burn option and to have solid material for the wraiths in the future, no worries

Am I missing something here, since I don't get how this deck manages to get 7 counters on Khazar's Diary?

There are 7 Khazars in deck and no way to retrieve any cards from your ash heap. Also, as far as i can see it, aside from Tye Cooper and a diablerie, there is no way that a player can add counters to Khazar, aside from other players burning minions, which is kinda dumb. So, block one out of seven actions (8 if you count Tye), which isn't that much of a stretch, and the better part of the deck just doesn't work. Or am I wrong?

Jake Washington is a unique minion that adds counters, so that's likely two more. I do agree that it is very difficult to see how the deck works. I'd suspect that there are suicidal Giovanni every time there's a vampire in torpor.

This looks like a power shambler in disguise of Khazar's Diary.
I reckon the ally serves as food for zombies first and only in the late game for wraiths. Might even fill the diary with other Khazar's Diary actions.
It's kind of a cool mix of the two archetypes.
