file Card Idea - Kill Without Trace

Kill Without Trace
Combat :combat:
1 blood :blood:
Only usable before the determine range step. Only one copy of Kill Without Trace can be played per combat.
:obf::qui: [obf][qui] This vampire may make any strike during this round of combat First Strike by burning 1 blood when declaring that strike.
:OBF::QUI: [OBF][QUI] The minion opposing this vampire is now considered the acting minion. If the opposing minion is not ready at the end of this combat, this vampire may gain blood equal to their capacity or you may gain 1 pool.

I thought of the superior effect after reading the other thread on the card idea Thick Blood. It is a response to the general lament that "Assamites can't silently kill anything"...

I'm not happy with the inferior, but I couldn't think of a suitable inferior text.

I'm not happy with the inferior either. How about checking out Combo card templates? Opens new vistas.

Also, I'm just gonna throw it out there: 1 pool is pretty small potatoes. If we're going to do this and shake up the game, let's go full throttle and emulate Voter Cap. Voting is far less contestable than combat (pretty much the purview of :PRE: anyways). So this'll normally be harder than anything Voter Cap has to endure.

The only catch is the capacity issue. As much as I love the idea of repeatedly kicking a thirsty Arika into torpor for fun and profit, it might be a bit much. I was thinking about using 1/2 capacity like Soul Stealing, but really, let's emulate useful cards if we're going to try something like this, no?

I'm also going to switch up the availability, making the "Dunk Cap" inferior, and therefore more readily available. But it's also because I'm making the superior sorta ridiculous as well. I'm going to bold the part I'm considering to leave out as well to make it beyond ridiculous and straight into redonkulous.

I like redonkulous, it works well with my complexion.

Kill Without a Trace
:reaction: :combat:
1 blood
:qui: If the opposing minion is not ready at the end of this combat, this vampire gains blood equal to the opposing minion's starting blood or life, but only up to 8 counters.
:obf::qui: As above, and you may move up to 2 of those blood counters to your pool instead of this vampire.
:OBF::QUI: Only one Kill Without a Trace can be played during an action. Play after resolution. This vampire inflicts 2 damage on the acting minion.

The inferior might make splashing QUI a thing for combat decks. And that's a good thing.

I absolutely love the Azel idea. Every level are useful, the superior being cyclable "easily".

I would limit to 5 blood more than 8 personnaly.
