Negative energies
Event (Gehenna?)
Put this card into play with 2 counters on it. Any Methuselah may burn X Pool and put a counter on this card (as an OOT master?) to cancel a library card as it is played, where X is the number of counters on this card.

That combines a bit too well with Parity Shift, and you should not get the pool back anyway on an effect that strong. And I don't really like the idea of shutting one card down in a game without card limits. How about something like that?Noble Ecatarinas Hold
Cost x pool
Master out if turn.unique.
Play this card during another methuselahs untap phase to name a card and give Noble Ecatarinas Hold to that methuselah with x hold counters(x must be greater than 0 but less than 5). That methuselah cannot play the named card. During that methuselahs master phase, they may move a pool to this card. When this card has pool equal to its hold counters, burn the card, and the methuzelah who played it gains half the pool on it, rounded up.

Pretty horrifying if used to prevent a player playing one of the three Conviction cards. The cards recycled from the ash heap are still "played".
And to mention it some more, were this a real card that people worried about in real play, stealth-bleed (especially Obf/Dom) can come out of it much better than, say, a deck that uses Immortal Grapple it get its thing done. Similarly, the player with a larger collection who can diversify into random rares can cope better than others. (Less of an issue if we get sanctioned POD.) Many of the 4CL / NL arguments roughly apply when forcing/strongly encouraging card diversity onto a given deck.

During your untap phase, you may play 1 conviction on each of your imbued. You may play these conviction cards from your hand or from your ash heap.

Feels to me better suited to a Government card. Pick a random powerful Government or inter-Governmental agency from around the globe.
Could be an Inconnu card, but choosing precisely when to trigger it feels less Inconnu-ish. (And making it do something semi-randomly or after a countdown or something would just be annoying.)
Gehenna events usually feel more indiscriminate in their effects (though one or two aren't). I'd also prefer to avoid yet more Gehenna events that could fuel those that require other Gehenna events being in play.

Here's something to consider: is canceling cards fun or interesting? Is Direct Intervention, Wash or Sudden Reversal something you would like to play against? Does playing one of those cards make you feel like you've accomplished something because you were a better player than the other guy?
If you didn't already guess, I'm personally against Counterspells in V:TES. It's completely uninteresting and works really bad with V:TES mechanics.

Sorry but i don't buy your argument. If there was no way to counter some cards, then at some point the game would just amount to "watch me pull my combo as fast as i can". Counterspell -or cards to counter some specific effect are needed for balance's sake.
