Card Idea: Close Quarters Tactics

My thoughts exactly.
Also, the fortitude level should prevent non-aggravated damage maybe?
Independent Futurist. Contrarian (titled, X votes where X is the number of votes as the acting minion.) Target Vitals is always the better combat card.

The card itself, while maybe a bit powerful, seem to be more or less where it should be to be worth the trouble of going anarch.
As it is, it does feel a little too good, but a blood cost would be over the top. I'd be tempted to make it "Do not replace until after combat" or something reasonably subtle like that.

i'd much prefer it to also make it prevent aggravated (2 seems about right though), but perhaps grant the opposing minion a maneuver if another round occurs?

I have a question : apart from Ivory bow, is there a source of aggravated damage which would not need a boost ?
I mean, Claw of the dead is mainly used as a cheaper decapitate, while Breath of the Dragon and all the other ranged aggravated for 1 blood are average at best. On the other hand, Carrion Crow, which have been put of limit by design too, is arguably the better combat card of the current game. Should we yet again stack odds in favor of Carrion and against Breath and co ?

I was comparing the fortitude effect against Armor of Vitality, which costs 1 blood, but doesn't require anarch, and can prevent environmental damage also, it seemed fairly even with it.
Although I suppose could add a further limitation to the prevent to make it only usable at close range, or non-ranged strikes.

How about the fortitude level prevents 3 damage from hands or melee weapons? (This would include melee weapons and hand strikes that strike at range, but still works within the theme.
