file [Submission] Cover Riots (anarch three way)

05 Nov 2014 09:39 - 05 Nov 2014 09:53 #67227 by Ankha
Name: Cover Riots
Cardtype: Action/Combat/Reaction
Disciplines: Auspex / Potence / Presence
Requires an anarch.
[aus][REACTION] Reduce a bleed against you by 1; by 2 if the acting vampire is titled.
[ACTION] (D) Bleed at +1 bleed, with an additional +1 bleed if the Methuselah you are bleeding controls a titled vampire.
[pot][COMBAT] Strike: hand strike or use a melee weapon strike. This strike is at +1 damage; at +2 damage against a titled vampire.

WOD reference:
During the anarch free state episode, some riots were used as a cover to hide the anarchs actions.

I kind of expected it to be intercept, bleed modifier and stealth.

Could have been. It even was Obfuscate instead of Potence for a stealth effect.

The concept is interesting. I could see it being used in a bruise/ bleed or intercept combat deck. Not sure that the effects are strong enough to really bother with going anarch though.

Be careful when you fight the monsters, lest you become one.

Unless a whole suite of cards using aus pre pot or similar, then the card won't be particularly useful (since during each point in the action it is only usable at one of the disciplines).

It's versatile. Being able to reduce a bleed or bleed stronger depending on the situation is quite good I think.
