compress [Submission] Necrosis (Thanatosis)

OK, first ever card idea submission.... Couldn't find any other submission for this, and just putting the idea out there.

Name: Necrosis
Cardtype: Combat
Cost: 2 blood
Capacity: N/A
Discipline: Thanatosis

Card text
:thn: Only usable at close range before strikes are chosen. The opposing vampire, ghoul or mortal burns 2 blood or life. A vampire may play only one Necrosis each round of combat.
:THN: As above, and the opposing minion cannot strike during the initial strike phase this round (other strike resolution effects are not affected).

[Unfortunately a cramped 315 characters including spaces, mostly due to the qualifiers of "A vampire may play only one Necrosis each round..." and "other strike resolution effects...". Any suggestions?]

Flavor text
"I am Time, the great destroyer of the world" Bhagavad Gita 11.32.

Art notes
Shows a surprised Vampire looking in horror at their arm, as the tips of the fingers moulder away.

World of Darkness reference
"Necrosis: Cause a victim's tissue to decompose and fall off" either whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Thanatosis or Vampire Storyteller's Companion, p.41.

How does this card address a compelling game need?
The Samedi are supposed to be martial, yet I find Decompose ( www.secretlibrary.info/index.php?lib=2044 ), Putrefaction ( www.secretlibrary.info/index.php?lib=1047 ) and Withering ( www.secretlibrary.info/index.php?lib=1094 ) a bit disappointing. Two Groaning Corpses for three environmental damage at close range costing one blood is great, but the others just don't feel like they live up to the reputation - they have their own "Dirty Contract"(s) like Assamites, yet Thanatosis appears weak compared to Quietus.

"Necrosis" (which obviously means the death of living tissue) sounds like it should unavoidably damage the opposing minion in some way, fatally to any non-supernatural minion (e.g. Humans/Ghouls, but not Mummies or Zombies), and seriously hinder any other vampire (the shock to their system overwhelms them, causing them to lose their initial strike. I was inspired by Thin Blood ( www.secretlibrary.info/index.php?lib=946 ) and Lapse ( www.secretlibrary.info/index.php?lib=1029 ).

Blood cost is high (2 blood) because potentially you could then strike using Compress ( www.secretlibrary.info/index.php?lib=986 ), although armour and Fortitude can still prevent, assuming the opposing minion doesn't have similar 'burn blood' or Carrion Crows etc cards. "Burn two blood or life" for the basic is due to the blood cost being two compared to "Thin Blood" (which costs one blood but burns one or two blood), and similar to the lore of a Vampire spending a blood on waking each evening to keep the body from putrefying. Also, at advanced, text says just "the opposing minion" as the effect of necrosis would be suddenly painful to any minion (assuming even Zombies feel pain, and would go some way to explaining Samedi control of zombies/corpses).

Flavour text, I tried to find something a bit different about time and decay. Open to any better short quotes.

You could just skip the "(other strike resolution effects are not affected)" part as it is just a reminder text...
