Hmm, OK, had a rethink:
Misplaced Heart

1
maneuver with an optional strike: dodge (cannot be cancelled) this round.
Cancel the effect of a card that would send this Vampire to torpor (combat ends if played during combat).
Misplaced Heart

Quite vague. This would affect Disarm ("send that vampire into torpor"), but is it your intent to affect aggro-poke cards like Claws of the Dead? What about going to torpor from your opponent playing Undead Strength to punch you for three? (As a combat card, it can't stop Rotschreck, which sends you to torpor after combat ends.)
A more solid phrasing for a similar-ish effect - although it might change what you intended - might be something like:
Not wild about the action modifier use personally, although FOR THAN to power an unblockable action modifier (Day Op, Daring the Dawn) is probably no worse than Beast Meld .
I would, however, consider going to something like:
To avoid easily chaining a Freak Drive on the end.

Play when this vampire would go to torpor; this vampire does not go to torpor.

[FOR] [THAN] Play when this vampire would go to torpor; this vampire does not go to torpor. If played during combat, combat still ends. Tap this vampire. This vampire cannot untap for the rest of this action.
To avoid easily chaining a Freak Drive on the end.

Misplaced Heart

maneuver with an optional strike: dodge this round.
Only usable when this vampire would go to torpor. Burn a blood: this vampire does not go to torpor. If played during combat, combat still ends. Tap this vampire. This vampire cannot untap until your next untap phase.
Made more general (reaction/action modifier) with a slight tweak on the final sentence so doesn't matter when it's played.

Superior would make more sense with
attached.
Not saying its needed/good, but if you want playable and not narrowed excessively, that would be the logical direction.

Apologies for raising an older submission, but my copy of Clanbook: Cappadocian (Dark Ages, 1997) arrived today, and I thought it of interest to this topic that p.41 features a combo discipline called Blessed Resilience (Fortitude 8, Mortis 4). It essentially allows the vampire to come back from the dead (head will reattach etc). Any blood and a lot of willpower is spent, while the vampires' maximum possible physical traits are reduced, but they live.
An official card, which I knew nothing of until now, already exists - www.secretlibrary.info/index.php?lib=2030 . I'm a bit disappointed with how it is implemented as you lose all equipment/retainers/masters etc. regardless of how the vampire was burned (e.g. a vampire diablerising can steal equipment from its victim, any other card simply burning the victim doesn't (directly) steal/burn the equipment).
So, I would have hoped for an implementation more along the lines of:

Only usable when this vampire would be burned (may be played when tapped and/or in torpor). Cannot be played if this vampire has the Soul Gem of Etrius or if the vampires' owner has played Sacrificial Lamb.

This vampire is not burned: instead, place this card on the vampire. This vampire's capacity is lowered by 3. This vampire may have multiple copies of this card, but remove the vampire from the game if their capacity is less than
.

As above, but each copy of this card lowers their capacity by 1.
Yes, you save your Palatial Estate and Blood Doll, but that also means that the Contract and Haven Uncovered also stays, which makes sense.
