OK, this is the last idea I've had while playing them....
Djab
Harbingers/Samedi
/
1
Wraith with 2 life.
Djab is immune to non-aggravated damage.
The minion with this retainer may gain +1 intercept. A vampire may only have one Djab.
a) If this vampire is burnt or sent to torpor, the acting minion takes 2 unpreventable damage; or
b) Once per combat, this vampire may burn a blood to gain an additional strike.
[Not sure which would be better]
Flavour text
"Djabs are helpful, quick spirits, if you are ever able to truly listen" - Baroque.
Art notes
Djabs traditionally are represented as men with antelope-like horns.
World of Darkness reference
None.
How does this card address a compelling game need?
Lack of intercept for Samedi (not so much an issue for Harbingers). Version A text makes more sense to me, but Version B would significantly improve Samedi/Harbinger combat.

Sorry I forgot to add this on the last few: Chris Nelson, but I'm not worried about attribution - I'd just like some more Harbingers/Samedi cards to make them their decks a bit more varied and interesting!

why do you think that samedi should have intercept? If there are none WoD references that suggest that samedi could be good at blocking I wouldn't give them intercept capabilities.
Making every clan be capable of everything makes them identical which is very bad concept IMO.
If you want to stay with intercept special I would make it harbinger, or to be more general just necromancy.
As for the other specials option b is much better.

Hi Alek,
I had thought that the Samedi traded information similar to the Nosferatu, but have just checked VtM's Storytellers Companion and I can't find any reference to that (I suggested the intercept to represent information-trading).
However, having just checked Secret Library, I see that although most wraiths are Giovanni-only (why?), Masquer offers +1 intercept and only requires Necromancy. The original thought was to offer a similar wraith for Harbingers/Samedi but obviously they can simply employ Masquer (have to buy some copies of that card
).
So slight alteration (following Masquer's wording):
Djab
/
1
Wraith with 1 life.
Djab is immune to damage that is not aggravated. This vampire may burn a blood to gain an additional strike each combat.
As above, but with 2 life, and this vampire may burn a blood to gain an additional strike each round.

Id go another way.......
Basic, wraith, 1 life, immume to non-agg, and if the minion with this retainer blocks a bleed action, the acting minion gets -1 intercept.
Superior, if the employ action is successful, untap the acting Samdei, Harbinger, or ally.(or non-giovanni minion)
My reasoning is giovanni have loads of toys, HoS and Samedi hate them, and need toys. Now, we have mummies who can play basic necro, and them being able to use something else in a beneficial way is another neat part of card design.
If your requirement is just HoS and Samedi, i reccomend the -1 stealth, the untap at superior, and a clause of only having one per minion.

Hi ReverendRevolver,
Sounds like a good good card to me - you should submit it
Less handy for stealthy Samedi decks, but would make Harbinger decks and Samedi/HoS more playable.
I'd suggest calling it "Messenger of Papa Legba" (or just "Papa Legba" if it's unique), after the lwa of communication, to keep it themed.
