exclamation-circle Voudoun necromancy link

Actually exists on the unofficial White Wolf Wiki!

Can't get to it from the Samedi/Giovanni/main content of the Necromancy page, but there's a link at the bottom of the Necromancy page. Direct link: whitewolf.wikia.com/wiki/Voudoun_Necromancy , which includes Wanga (essentially, curses).

Some crossover between suggestions I've made recently, and therefore a WoD reference :-)

I don't own any of these books, but apparently...

Book references:
  • Rites of the Blood, p. 15, 87-88
  • Vampire: The Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition, p. 159-184
  • Blood Sacrifice: The Thaumaturgy Companion P. 78-81

Along similar lines, I wondered if Marie Laveau might inspire a vampire design.

One of the first minion ideas I scribbled down was Marie*, but I did not submit to these boards as I was concerned as to the ethics of basing a VTES minion on a recent historic person who died 133 years ago and still has living relatives today (I don't know if there's a legal aspect to consider as well).

*It was Crypt 4, :ani: :aus: :dom: :obf: :FOR: :NEC: :THN:, :cap10:, 2 votes, may dodge once per combat. (Animalism due to fame as a snake dancer but maybe Serpentis better?, Auspex because of her information network, Dominate because she was quite commanding, the others obvious, votes to give a little voting ability to the 3/4 or 4/5 mixed crypts, and dodge because of litheness).

The information network could be done as an intercept against (d) actions (which from a fair amount of recent use of Ryder is quite a valuable card text).
Animalism for snake charming probably isn't enough...
Does she historically have control over a city or island with a city like population? That would give a reason for the 2 votes. The dominate seems like an overreach as well.

I don't think this vampire would be too far off the curve and low enough not to push further down the eternal problem of Samedi being all buck and no bang...
