[Submission] Seasoned
Cardtype: Action Modifier
Cost: zero
Capacity: n/a
Discipline: none
Clan: none
Only usable during an action in which this acting sabbat vampire is ready and the opposing minion or minion targeted by a D action is not. Place this card on this acting sabbat vampire. +1 bleed. A minion may only have one Seasoned.
Note: The wording above could probably be tightened up. My intent was to allow a vampire to become Seasoned by a D action that sends someone to torpor (e.g. Horseshoes, Shadow Twin) or by winning combat. It would be nice to also include such things as breaking the Eye of Hazimel.
Flavor text: "You're not a true Sabbat until you have beaten the unlife out of an enemy." Rodrigo, Brujah Antitribu
Art notes: A Toreador Antitribu stirring a cauldron with the dismembered arm of xer adversary. Maybe xe will have a taste off of the gnarled fingers.
World of Darkness reference: Shovelheads(new recruits) would graduate once they survived a raid on the enemy and gain pack respect for killing opponents.
How does this card address a compelling game need?: The game could use more forward momentum for combat decks. I chose an action modifier rather than a combat card because intercept combat does not need any help, maybe the opposite.

Because it's usable during the action, as written, it also appears to include diablerie (which is probably in theme and fine), and rescuing a vampire, which probably isn't what you intended?

Games of instinct
Requires a ready Sabbat vampire.
Enter combat with an older vampire controlled by another Methuselah. At the end of that combat, if only one combatant is ready, that ready vampire gains blood equal to the opposing vampire's capacity from the blood bank.[\quote]
Permanent bleed for rushing or otherwise torporing a potentially unchallenging 3 or 4-cap sounds a bit unbalanced to me however - is it worth specifying the vampire has to be the same cap or older? Presumably the target has to be non-Sabbat as well? Also, should it be +1 bleed in general (or prey only?) or a D action to bleed at +1?

Nice, sorta like a mini Trophy/Games of instinct:

Having the card in your hand at the right time more than once per game and still being able to pull off torporizing people is pretty tricky. It could always just be a computer hacking, leverage, or a discipline-based bleed card. I don't think that's overpowered.

Let me try:
Name: Reasonable Fear
Cardtype: Action Modifier
Cost: zero
Capacity: n/a
Discipline: none
Clan: none
Sect: Sabbat
Only usable after combat when the opposing minion is not ready. Place this card on the acting sabbat vampire. +2 Bleed versus that minion's methuselah. While ready, you may burn this card to redirect a bleed from your predator to your prey.
Does bleed boost and bleed bounce, but bounce is at the expense of boost.
Bleed boost is localized, thus it hurts bounce. But it also doesn't carry over once that methuselah is dead. More is better... to a point. Diminishing returns, like Spying Mission.
It stacks, purposefully. Beatdown momentum adds to ousting speed. However it forces a predator to go forward nibbling for 1-2 bleed to counter that momentum.
Is not tied to prey's opposing minion. This allows long term prep and getting it out of one's hand regardless. Salmoning your predator for bounce is functional, but less optimal, returning the game to predator-prey dynamics.
I honestly could care less about one's acting minion getting this while going to torpor. If you thought Mutual Assured Destruction (i.e. Burst of Sunlight, etc.) was worth it, rock on. It also encourages diablerie if you cannot rescue in time. Good, keeps the game moving forward with high stakes.
