Hi all,
My musings on some of the Cappodocian/Harbinger combi-disciplines. Not play-tested, just thinking aloud. And mostly attempting to VTES-ise the powers - however, they do seem to be coming out as very anti-combat, specifically anti-equipment.
Clarity of Emptiness/The Corpse in the Monster
Players Guide to the High Clans (p. 165).
Combat
Req: Harbingers
Cancel a frenzy card played on this vampire as it is played.
Play before strikes are chosen. Presence cards cost the opposing vampire an additional blood this round.
As above, but for this combat. Once per round you may discard a card that requires Necromancy to cancel the effects of a card requiring Presence.
Effigy of the Sculpted Tomb
Players Guide to the High Clans (pp. 165-166).
Combat
Req: Harbingers (also Samedi?)
Strike: destroy equipment with 1 damage, and prevent up to 1 damage later this round. Only usable when choosing strikes.
As above, but strike for 2 damage and prevent up to 3 damage.
Aegis of Entrophy
Players Guide to the High Clans (p. 163).
Combat
Req: Harbingers
Prevent 2 damage. If any of the damage was from the opposing minion's melee weapon, that weapon is destroyed.
As above, but if at close range and the opposing minion strikes with a hand strike, they take 2 damage, and any retainer they employ takes 1 damage.
Corpse Projection
Lair of the Hidden (pp. 140-141).
Action
Req: Harbingers
Cost: X
+1 stealth
Steal a retainer or ally controlled by another Methuselah. If successful, place counters equal to their starting life, untap the minion and place 2X Pathos counters on them. They may not take political actions or gain life. During your discard phase they burn a Pathos counter. Return the minion when they have no Pathos counters.
As above, but you may target a vampire in torpor (substitute life for blood) or a human retainer or ally in any Ash heap.
(This one is a bit like Graverobbing and Putrescent Servitude . Language could be improved.)

Here's another one:
Endure the Ages
for nec: Action Modifier: only usable at the end of a successful action. Gain one pool.
FOR NEC: Combat: Prevent four damage
The idea is to give Harbingers some more bloat so that you can bring more of them out. Samedi would also benefit from this, which is a plus.

Re: Clarity of Emptiness/The Corpse in the Monster.
Had forgotten about a similar card effect so tweaked in reference to Denial of Aphrodite's Favor .
Have removed the 'younger vampire' clause as this card is a) not Dominate powered, and b) is a Clan-specific card. The issue is that this combi-discipline should effect the possessing vampire, thus should not cancel a non-targeting Presence card such as Bewitching Oration , for example.
The Corpse in the Monster v2
Players Guide to the High Clans (p. 165).
Reaction/Combat
Req: Harbingers
Cancel a frenzy card or Presence
combat card played on this vampire as it is played.
Cancel an action, action modifier or combat card a minion played against this vampire that requires Presence
as it is played. No cost is paid, and the same card cannot be played for the rest of the action or combat.
Re: Endure the Ages
Agreed, some bloating would be good, although that is based on the 'good' Samedi/Harbingers currently being expensive to influence out, so some cheaper good minions would also help solve that particular problem.
Would it be better to specialise? e.g.
Action/Action Modifier
Req: Harbingers (/Samedi?)
+1 stealth action. Gain 2 pool.
Action Modifier: only usable at the end of a successful action. Gain two pool.
(Maybe the advanced should allow the player to choose where the counters go? E.g. two in the pool, one in the pool and one on the vampire, or two on the vampire etc.)
Basic is based on Dark Mirror of the Mind with the 8-cap or higher vampire swapped for a clan requirement and two basic disciplines. It's also similar to the Samedi's Off Kilter , so not sure if the Samedi need access to more bloat. Nagaraja might appreciate it, but they don't have Fortitude.
