A stern looking business(wo)man who is failing to focus on a task that requires concentration, e.g. writing a letter or reading newspaper. It seems like he/she is listening to someone behind him/her.

World of Darkness reference:
Meddling with cards in the ash heap is a theme of the clan HoS.
Agaitas is said to have survived hellish unlifetimes in the rapidly unpredictable Shadowlands.

Ooh, don't know if anybody but me would use it, but I really like it.
Fill your predator's hand with useless cards, or more likely make a hand dial deal with either your predator or pray to deal with some common table threat.
