file Submission: New Parisian Gargouille

Name: New Parisian Gargouille
Type: Master, trifle
Card Text:
Put this card on a Gargoyle you control. This Gargoyle loses slave status (if any) and becomes independent. This Gargoyle gains 1 level of :vis: if it doesn't already have it at superior. The capacity increases by 1: Gargoyle is one generation older.

World of Darkness reference:
After the Gargoyle Revolt, most Gargoyles flocked to Paris.

How does this card address a compelling game need?:
I had combined the effect with a vessel like effect first (Kissed by Virstania), this would be an alternative to that. A way to lose Slave Status with having an extra beneficial effect. Made it a trifle since I feel most discipline cards should've been a trifle and you cannot play it on vampires other than Gargoyles (which mostly have superior :VIS:), so I see no problem there. Also works on "Create Gargoyle" and "Hatchlings", again see no problem there either since they're so darned expensive to begin with. You can also play it on a Gargoyle that already has :VIS:.

Note: Like "Blooding by the Code", this master does not count as a discipline master and cannot be chosen and looked up by "Create gargoyle" for a discipline card. Also you can keep playing it on the same gargoyle to cycle out of potential hand jams in case you put a lot of it in your deck (since losing slave status is fundamental for non-slave Gargoyle decks).

:garg: :VIS: :POT: :FOR: :flight: -1 Strength

I think something for slaves to loose slave status would be great, and make this clan a lot more viable. Nice one.

After some consideration, the following change:

Name: New Parisian Gargouille
Type: Master, trifle
:burn:
Card Text:
Put this card on a Gargoyle you control. This Gargoyle may gain 1 level of :vis: when this card is played. This Gargoyle can burn 1 blood to remove it's Slave status and become independent.

Reasoning for change
The card should be usable for both Slave and Non-Slave strategies. So you can opt to boost your visceratika discipline without losing slave status if you so desire. The blood cost to lose slave status also makes it way less useful for tupdogs. It should also get a burn option, so you can stack more than needed in your deck, utilise it faster and burn the excess.

Promotion
The ability to gain superior Visceratika and optionally lose slave status will already help out Gargoyles a great deal. Now we need some more fun Visceratika cards ^^

:garg: :VIS: :POT: :FOR: :flight: -1 Strength

I'm not a huge fan of the book-keeping required to remember if a vampire is a slave or not - it's that little bit more annoying for someone (say, a judge) wandering over to your table to see what's going on. However, if you want the option to still use the slave trait, then you could go for something like:
Put this card on a Gargoyle. This Gargoyle gains a level of Visceratika (and maybe a capacity etc.). If this Gargoyle is a slave, it may take directed actions as if its controller also controlled a member of the specified clan.

So people who want to act without a master can use it for that, but you don't have to remember what was activated when - it's still actually a slave. People who want to use the slave trait for whatever reason still can - but can also take (D) actions too.

If you want to temper the potential for Tupdog messiness, then you can go for:
Put this card on a Gargoyle, and burn a blood from it.

Or even just go for:
Put this card on a unique Gargoyle.
