file a bunch of vamps designed to fight

I like them

This one:
Kristoffersen 5-cap (!)Gangrel
PRO ani cel obf
Sabbat: Once per turn when Kristoffersen enters combat, you may move a combat card with no cost from your discard pile to your hand.

Is broken though. Screams infinite Target Vitals to me.

Funny, I was thinking Earth meld. Also, several"get a burned card" effects do not make you discard down.

(I meant to comment ages ago...)

Harald, 4-cap Abomination
ANI for pot pro
Indepedent: During your turn you may untap Harald when your prey loses pool. Not useable during a bleed action. Scarce. Sterile.

This one looks unreasonably strong for a 4 cap. Yes, it's an abomination, but it seems to be an almost insta-include for any Gangrel-y deck (including Country !Gangrel), and also very strong for a weenie Animalism angle too - there are literally only three vampires under 5 capacity in the whole game with ANI. Being Scarce and Sterile aren't huge drawbacks - Sterile, you just don't play it in a breed deck, and Scarce is important for vampires like the Salubri who would otherwise be coherent together, but the Abominations generally aren't (and generally aren't played much at all). And it makes Fame better, or Tension in the Ranks.

It just seems far and away better than any even remotely comparable vampire - it slices, it dices, it makes coffee, call now and get a juicer free too.

Alifat, 9-cap Assamite
AUS CEL QUI THA obf
Independent: As a discard phase action, you may shuffle two cards from your hand into your library. +1 strength

I'd echo Ben's concerns in that "shuffle" effects are a bitch. But I think you could just as easily go for something like putting them on the bottom of the library. Or perhaps something like "As a discard phase action, draw two cards (don't discard down to your hand size), and put two cards from you hand on top of your library; your prey now cuts your library once." Except maybe phrase it better, because I'm a little tired. That might well amount to them just being on the bottom, who knows. You are trying to get them out of your hand after all - maybe your prey would like to leave them on top. Maybe you'd like your prey to leave them on top, it's just they're not the best cards to have between turns.

Thanks for the input. As I said in the original post, some of these stretch the power curve, which I think is ok for these types of vamps. I like the effects of shuffling in cards so that the early-drawn dragonbound can be played later instead of being discarded, so that was what I was going for with Alifat. Can this be solved in a more elegant matter?

Overkill is highly underrated. You know, like in computor games and such.

Put the two cards on bottom of library.
Dragonbound can surface after your ashur tablets go off and Anson regains his blurs and tastes.(just kidding, that deck is ilegal until I find another way to play dragonbound that isn't called Anthelios.....)
