[Submission] Unquiet Grave was created by yesferatu
Name: Unquiet Grave
Cardtype: Action Modifier
Cost: 0
Capacity: N/A
Discipline: N/A
Clan: Hecata
(Card text): Only usable by a vampire in torpor after action resolution.
Unlock this vampire.
How does this card address a compelling game need?:
With the new Hecata cards on the horizon, this could be a unique game mechanic that pairs the necromantic aspects of Oblivion with the under-used torpor region.
It would give members of that clan the ability to take advantage of intentionally remaining in torpor or recovering from a particularly damaging action or combat.
Flavor text: “You crave one kiss of my clay-cold lips,
But my breath smells earthy strong;
If you have one kiss of my clay-cold lips,
Your time will not be long."
- Anonymous
Art notes: Stock photo of a hand reaching from beyond the grave.
World of Darkness reference: Hecata are an alliance of Necromancy-based bloodlines & full clans. As the Lasombra specialize in the abyss, the Hecata instead focus on death. Their closeness to the grave provides them with increased control over a vampire's normally dormant state.

I really like the idea of the card but it is not strong enough in my opinion.
Hecata have access to Freak Drive and this card is more versatile.
If you add something like: and get 2 blood more people would want to play the card.
Or what about (just as an idea):
Only usable by a vampire in torpor after action resolution.
This vampire leaves torpor at the end of your minion phase. This costs no blood.
This would be too strong for Salubri / Ventrue / everything else with For/Dom as a Clans Diszi but for Hecata it should be fine.

Thanks for your feedback.
I like it because it's a modifier. You can use it multiple times a turn.
Any kind of action could only be used once.
For example...
- Villein
- Pulse of the Canaille
- Force of Will bleed for 6.
- Make it unblockable with Daring the Dawn / Day Operation.
- Go to torpor.
- Unlock with Unquiet Grave.
- Play Regeneration for 5 blood.
- Unlock with Unquiet Grave.
- Rescue yourself with Rapid Healing.
- Unlock with Freak Drive.
- Do something else...repeat.
Other fortitude actions (Restoration) already have a gain blood or leave torpor mechanic (Rapid Healing).
The other suggestion would make them leave torpor at the end of the minion phase, ignoring the action chain above, which limits its usefulness. I don't hate something like Recurring the Homeland, which lets Tremere Antis rescue themselves for free, even when locked.
It's Hecata-only to prevent overuse by Lasombra or other clans with access to Oblivion (which may eventually happen). The torpor dance would be a unique option for the necromancers. On the other hand, it's not like Lasombra couldn't use a rescue mechanic, considering their limited damage prevention, so an Oblivion version isn't out of the question.
