How does this card address a compelling game need?: This is an ally that enables other ally decks. It is a way to let you build decks around unique allies so you don’t have to rely on luck as much to get them. It is also an ally so it can benefit from other cards that give boosts to allies, while also being vulnerable to other cards that target allies.

The 1 pool cost seems appropriate for the ability, and I am unsure if it should not have more than 1 life to be a bit more resilient. It also has a unique mechanic in that you need to burn blood off of vampires if you want to use it more than once or unlock to be a blocker. The ability is at +1 stealth so it can be blocked and interacted with, as well as the fact it only puts the card into your hand so you will still need to try to recruit the searched ally.
