Basic blood sorcery [bld] The employer steals 1 blood or life (becoming blood) from the opposing minion at close range during the press step each round of combat.
Superior blood sorcery [BLD] As above, but also usable at long range.
Flavor text: None
Art notes: A giant blood worm or leech.
World of Darkness reference: Initially a fomori but could just be a blood leech.
How does this card address a compelling game need?: This a retainer for blood sorcery to give them more options in combat that allows a way to have more sustainability. It is made with v5 tremere in mind. The effects may be too strong at superior in some star decks (goriatrix) given the fact usually minions with this discipline want to be at long range, however it only works on the press step so you are still vulnerable in the first round of combat and only works at the end. It is also a theft of vitae for 1 most combats unless presses continue combat. It would not work on empty vampires or vampires going to torpor.
Perhaps it should also be so only 1 Bloodworm can be employed by each minion but this is something only playtesting could verify. A vampire with 3 Bloodworms steals 3 blood or life in the press step but it still requires 3 separate actions to recruit them and they are vulnerable like every other vampire.

Could also be:
Inferior blood sorcery [bld] This retainer can steal 1 blood or life from the opposing minion during the press step each round of combat.
Superior blood sorcery [BLD] As above, and during your unlock phase, you can move 1 life from Bloodworm to the employer (becoming blood).
This way it is not too strong at basic since you basically do 1 point of damage to opposing minions without taking the blood yourself, while the superior essentially allows you to gain that blood for your vampire but with delay of using it in your unlock phase (similar to cooler and other bloat cards that you place on the vampire). Since this is not a strike but an ability it can be used at long range.
