Goofy Hypothetical Question

Would the game be broken if Methuslahs could pick thier openning 4 Crypt cards and have the rest of their Crypt be shuffled?

It's such a bummer to get a bad openning spread of vamps, especially when you have 4 copies of a vamp in your Crypt and still don't get it; and you wouldn't have to worry about your game being stymied or ruined simply by the bad luck of drawing the wrong vamps during set up.

It seems to me that picking your 4 Crypt cards to start with would add to the enjoyment of the game. What do you think?

in friendly games the guys usually let me mulligan.

That would make all kinds of star vampire decks way too powerful, since you could then just have that 1 copy of your star and have completetly diverse crypt while still always getting your main guy. Not to mention all kinds of crypt machine decks alwas having the perfect govern curve in their starting crypt.

That would be a significant boost to turbo Eternal Mask or Possession decks.
