Someone won a 10 player tournament with Hazimel allstar deck in 2018. Clearly you don't understand the power of this vampire and overestimate the strength and prevalence of Pentex.

I don't think designers would have bothered to write "Other Methuselahs' non-Ravnos vampires" if they hadn't considered every option.

i was looking at hazimel recently and noticed something about his special ability. It will cost cross table allies 2 blood to attempt to remove pentex or to attempt to rescue him. Since there is no end in sight to the pentex meta an 11 cap that is VERY weak to pentex qualifies as a special disability.
Can we get any confirmation on the design intent for Hazimel? Was it intended to be a special disability? The overall capacity, discipline spread, and other abilities suggest it was intended to be a positive effect.

I was hoping this was one of the times the card didn't do what it said.

Make sure you check all the possible places for card rulings to make sure one didn't go under the radar. You know, like...
Google Groups
IRC Chats
Video messages from character actor Jimmy Smits
Wizards of the Coast Rulings
Black Chantry Production Page
Encoded messages using the enigma machine
Card Ruling link on the left side of the page
Facebook
Microscopic text on the cards
Twitter
Holes in the back yard of LSJ's house where he buried them in hopes they would be found by VTES archeologists
The rulebook

Actually don't check the rulebook; they won't be there for sure.
