RPI (Rating Points Index) is a Rating Point (RP) based scoring method used in the JOL League. RPI are calculated as follows:
1) You calculate the RP the player has gained ( 8 * GW + 4 * VP )
2) RP are divided by the maximum amount available ( RP / ( 28 * #Games ) )
3) A coefficient is calculated based on the number of games played ( ( 1 - 2 / #Games ) * 1000 )
4) The result from phase 2 is multiplied with the coefficient ( {2} * Coeff }
This is the RPI
RPI = ( ( 8 * GW + 4 * VP ) / ( 28 * #Games ) ) * ( 1 - 2 / #Games ) * 1000
The Coefficient increases with the amount of games played, thus more games means bigger RPI. If two players have identical RPI, TP (Tournament Points) will be used as a tie-breaker.
