Also one more idea to make "draft" part shorter - "exploding cards". Some cards (weaker commons possibly) will be having some special symbol, which will make this card "count as double" - so you add second copy of this card to your deck from the pool after the draft.

Some lulzmath with exploding cards and mtg-like distribution.

3 boosters of 15 cards. 1 R, 2 U, 5 C, 7 V

each U explode into 2, C into 3

So as a result each player has at average 3 + 12 + 45 = 60 library and 21 crypt cards. Kind of enough for 8/40 deck.

The whole set is 300 library (max 120 different) + 105 crypt = 405. Fine?.

For variability (and other goals like adding needed reprints) we can put more rares so in each draft you have to randomly generate different sets of them.

And one more - drop uncommons.

So just 2 rares, 6 commons and 7 vampires in each of 3 «boosters».

30 rares and 90*3 commons in a set. Looks workable and easy.

Can you pleas elaborate, why you chose "7 boosters, deck size 45, crypt size 7 and 1 recursion" and do you still think that it's the best "numbers"?

45 could be a typo as 7/35/7/1 would be according to General Limited Format Rules (7.2.2. Recursion)

Also when you have base sets these have very useful uncommon cards. Removing uncommons just for the heck of it would be silly. In draft rarity really doesn't matter. Especially in cube where raredrafting is pointless as you don't get to keep the cards.

Rarity was meant just in the "world" of the cube, so you can make any uncommon rare or common - difference is just in numbers appearing.
