I don't understand why Dragon*Con "memberships" are so expensive. Does a membership mean that I'm paying for a lifetime membership? Surely it can't be $105 each year??? I have a difficult time asking players to pay for a badge which is 50% off! I can't imagine trying to get players to pay $105 every year.

Liftetime memberships are available for ~$2,000.

It is $120 each year.

I am sorry your imagination is so limited.

:P

There are significant discount for registering early, and it was ~80 in January and less at the event last year if you paid for the next year.

Dragon Con is not a gaming con like Origins. It is about parties and bands and shows and movie/tv stars and parties. The gaming is all in one hotel ballroom (not counting Table top and larp which is huge) away from everything else. Look at the photos on the website. It is more like Comic Con, but more parties, and naked women walking around asking to be photographed.

In KevinM's defense... he is from Vegas. I'm sure he read that and said "...and???"

But to me, sounds like a fun party. :)
