Berlin Travel Help

I'm planning on going to the Berlin EC with a family member. She isn't going to have any interest hanging around during the time I'm playing cards.

Any suggestions for what sort of tourist or group activities she can do during those times instead of staying at the hotel, keeping in mind this is someone who isn't particularly independent and who only speaks English?
